Mallia Franklin
Rosalind Mallia Franklin (March 1, 1952 – February 5, 2010), also known as The Queen Of Funk, was a vocalist of the American funk band Parliament-Funkadelic. She introduced friends George Clinton and Bootsy Collins in 1971, and brought ex- Ohio Player Junie Morrison to the band in 1978. She sang background on early Parliament and Funkadelic albums, and became an original member of Parlet, P-Funk's sub-group, where she recorded '' Pleasure Principle'' in 1978 and half of '' Invasion Of The Booty Snatchers'' in 1979. She left the group to form a proposed P-Funk offshoot, Sterling Silver Starship with bassist Donnie Sterling. She appeared with Clinton in Prince's 1990 film '' Graffiti Bridge''. Her first solo album '' Funken Tersepter'' was released in Japan in 1995 on P-Vine. Parliament-Funkadelic
Parliament-Funkadelic (abbreviated as P-Funk) is an American music collective of rotating musicians headed by George Clinton, primarily consisting of the funk bands Parliament and Funkadelic, both active since the 1960s. Their distinctive funk style drew on psychedelic culture, outlandish fashion, science-fiction, and surreal humor; it would have an influential effect on subsequent funk, post-punk, hip-hop, and techno artists of the 1980s and 1990s, while their collective mythology would help pioneer Afrofuturism. Prince Rogers Nelson (June 7, 1958April 21, 2016), more commonly known mononymously as Prince, was an American singer-songwriter, musician, and record producer. ''Doggystyle'' is the debut studio album by American rapper Snoop Dogg (then known as Snoop Doggy Dogg). It was released on November 23, 1993, by Death Row Records and Interscope Records. "Suited" is a single by South African singer-songwriter Shekhinah. It was released on July 14, 2017 by SME South Africa, as the first single from her debut studio album, ''Rose Gold''. The song was produced by Luke Goliath with assistance from DJ Maphorisa and Shekhinah. It was certified diamond by the Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA). Recording and background "Suited" was produced by Luke Goliath, a record producer from Port Elizabeth who got the opportunity to work with Shekhinah after he put together a beat and gave former Idols South Africa contestant Loyiso Gijana a listen who then who put Goliath in contact with Shekhinah. Donnie Sterling
Donnie Sterling is a musician brought in by Parlet's Mallia Franklin in 1978 as Parlet's band leader and bass player. After writing three songs on Parlet's second album, ''Invasion of the Booty Snatchers'', Sterling and Franklin both left Parlet in 1979. Sterling became P-Funk writer for producers George Clinton and Ron Dunbar. Sterling and Franklin attempted to form a P-Funk offspring group Sterling Silver Starship in 1979. George Edward Clinton (born July 22, 1941) is an American musician, singer, bandleader, and record producer.
