Malin Gjörup
Eva Malin Maria Gjörup (28 April 1964 – 20 May 2020) was a Swedish actress and mezzo-soprano. She was sister to the actress, Fanny Gjörup (1961–2001), and stepdaughter to actor HÃ¥kan Serner. Gjörup was born in LuleÃ¥. She studied at Malmö Academy of Music and performed at the Gothenburg City Theatre, National Swedish Touring Theatre, and Folkoperan. She worked at Svenska konsertbyrÃ¥n, and as a producer at Gävle Symphony Orchestra. Later, she went on to the Norrlandsoperan in UmeÃ¥ UmeÃ¥ ( , , , locally ; South Westrobothnian: ;). fi, Uumaja; sju, Ubmeje; sma, Upmeje; se, Ubmi) is a city in northeast Sweden. It is the seat of UmeÃ¥ Municipality and the capital of Västerbotten County. Norrlandsoperan
The NorrlandsOperan (literal translation, ''The Norrland's Opera''; NOP), is a Swedish opera company in Umeå, located in Norrland, Sweden. The ownership of NOP is divided between the Umeå Municipality (40%) and the Västerbotten County Council (60%). NOP was established in 1974 as a regional opera ensemble. The NOP's first artistic director was Arnold Östman, from 1974 to 1979. NOP now has its own symphony orchestra and facilities for opera, dance, music and art as well as workshops and studios. History Norrlandsoperan was founded in 1974 as a direct result of Swedish cultural reform the same year. The musical theater group ''Sångens makt'' constituted the core of the newly formed opera ensemble. ''Cries and Whispers'' ( sv, Viskningar och rop, lit=Whispers and Cries) is a 1972 Swedish period drama film written and directed by Ingmar Bergman and starring Harriet Andersson, Kari Sylwan, Ingrid Thulin and Liv Ullmann. The film, set in a mansion at the end of the 19th century, is about three sisters and a servant who struggle with the terminal cancer of one of the sisters (Andersson). The servant (Sylwan) is close to her, while the other two sisters (Ullmann and Thulin) confront their emotional distance from each other.
