Malik Taimoor Masood
Malik Taimoor Masood (born 21 September 1977) is a Pakistani politician who had been a member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab from August 2018 till January 2023. Previously he was a member of the Punjab Assembly from May 2013 to May 2018. Early life and education He was born on 21 September 1977 in Wah Cantonment. He received his early education from Lawrence College, Ghora Gali. He graduated from University of the Punjab and received the degree of Master of Business Administration from COMSATS Institute of Information Technology. Political career He was elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab as a candidate of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) from PP-8 (Rawalpindi-VIII) in the 2013 Punjab provincial election. The Provincial Assembly of the Punjab is a unicameral legislature of elected representatives of the Pakistani provinces, Pakistani province of Punjab (Pakistan), Punjab, which is located in Lahore, the provincial capital. 2023 Punjab Provincial Election
Provincial elections are scheduled to be held in Punjab within 90 days after the early dissolution of the Provincial Assembly, which is set to dissolve by or before 14 January 2023. This means that the election must be held no later than 14 April 2023. Electoral system The 371 seats of the Punjab Assembly consist of 297 general seats, whose members are elected by the first-past-the-post voting system through single-member constituencies. 66 seats are reserved for women and 8 seats are reserved for non-Muslims. 2018 Punjab Provincial Election
Provincial elections were held in the Pakistani province of Punjab on to elect the members of the 17th Provincial Assembly of the Punjab on 25 July 2018, alongside nationwide general elections and three other provincial elections in Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The remaining two territories of Pakistan, AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan, were ineligible to vote due to their disputed status. After the elections, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf was able to form the government in Punjab, with Sardar Usman Buzdar as the Chief Minister of Punjab.
