Malesiada
Malesiada is a village and a community in Aetolia-Acarnania, Greece. The village belongs to the municipal unit of Inachos. Through the village passes the provincial road which leads from Agrinio and Amfilochia to Empesos and further to Arta and Evrytania (through the Tatarna Bridge over the artificial lake of Kremasta). The municipal district Malesiada consists of the villages Nea Malesiada, Ano Kampos and Maraneli. Nea Malesiada Nea Malesiada is the largest village of the municipal district Malesiada. The old village Malesiada was isolated and the villagers asked from the State to reestablish it at a new place along the provincial road which connects Agrinio with Empesos in order to have better living conditions. After the reestablishment, the village took the name "Nea Malesiada" with "Nea" meaning "New". In the village there is a market that sells meat products. Inachos, Greece
Inachos ( el, Ίναχος) is a former municipality in Aetolia-Acarnania, West Greece, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Amfilochia, of which it is a municipal unit. It is located in the northernmost part of Aetolia-Acarnania. Its land area is 585.382 km². Its population was 4,760 at the 2011 census. Its municipal seat was the town of Neo Chalkiopoulo (pop. 569). Its largest other villages are Empesos (pop. 444), Amorgianoi (363), Thyamos (386), Perdikaki (356), and Nea Malesiada (308). Aetolia-Acarnania ( el, Αιτωλοακαρνανία, ''Aitoloakarnanía'', ) is one of the regional units of Greece. It is part of the geographic region of Central Greece and the administrative region of West Greece. Amfilochia
Amfilochia ( el, Αμφιλοχία) is a town and a municipality in the northwestern part of Aetolia-Acarnania in Greece, on the site of ancient Amfilochia. Under the Ottoman Empire, it was known as Karvasaras (Καρβασαράς; from '' caravanserai''). Amfilochia is situated by the Ambracian Gulf and features an amphitheatre. Amfilochia dates back to the ancient times and also features the ancient cities of Amphilochian Argos and Limnaia (or Limnaea). Agrinio
Agrinio (Greek: Αγρίνιο, , Latin: ''Agrinium'') is the largest city of the Aetolia-Acarnania regional unit of Greece and its largest municipality, with 106,053 inhabitants. Tatarna Bridge
The Tatarna Bridge ( el, Γέφυρα Τατάρνας) is a bridge over the Kremasta (place which belonged to the municipality of Alevrada Amfilochias) artificial lake (which was created after the building of a huge dam (160 meters high) in the narrowest point of the river Achelous). Kremasta (lake)
Lake Kremasta ( el, Λίμνη Κρεμαστών) is the largest artificial lake in Greece. The construction of Kremasta Dam was completed in 1965 concentrating waters from four rivers: Acheloos, Agrafiotis, Tavropos and Trikeriotis. The water that is accumulated in the artificial lake is about . It prevents flooding of the Acheloos, and supplies electricity to the national grid during peaks of demand.
