Malcolm McIntyre
Malcolm McIntyre (9 March 1889 – 12 August 1969) was a cheesemaker and member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly. Biography McIntyre was born at Pittsworth, Queensland, to parents Colin McKenzie McIntyre and his wife Wilhelmina Elizabeth (née Keefer) and educated at the local State School. He became a farmhand on his father's property, ''Glenmore'' at Mount Tyson and in 1916 he bought ''Sedgemoore'', a property in the same area. Electoral District Of Cunningham
Cunningham was an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Queensland from 1888 to 2009. Prior to its abolition, the district occupied an area of the Darling Downs, south and west of Toowoomba. Historically it was centred on the town of Clifton. The eastern portion of Cunningham drew voters from the southern suburbs of Toowoomba. There were also a number of small rural towns in the electorate, including Pittsworth, Millmerran and Cambooya, but no major centres. It was solidly conservative for its entire existence, and was held by the National Party without interruption from 1920 until the Nationals merged into the Liberal National Party of Queensland. In 2008, Cunningham was abolished—with effect at the 2009 state election—following a redistribution undertaken by the Electoral Commission of Queensland. Electoral District Of Aubigny
The electoral district of Aubigny was a Legislative Assembly electorate in the state of Queensland. It was first created in a redistribution ahead of the 1873 colonial election, and existed until the 1972 state election. Based in the Darling Downs to the north and west of the regional city of Toowoomba, Aubigny was a safe seat for the Country Party, being held by every one of its incarnations from 1915 until 1960, when it was won by the Queensland Labor Party MP Les Diplock, transferring from Condamine. Diplock held the seat as the sole parliamentary representative of the QLP (which merged with the national Democratic Labor Party in 1962) until the seat's abolition in 1972. Its most notable member was Arthur Edward Moore, member from 1915 until 1941 and Premier of Queensland from 1929 to 1932. The Labor government was seeking its eighth continuous term in office since the 1932 election. 1944 Queensland State Election
Elections were held in the Australian state of Queensland on 15 April 1944 to elect the 62 members of the state's Legislative Assembly. The election was the first that Labor had contested under Premier Frank Cooper, who had been in office for 19 months by the time of the poll. From this election, the voting method was changed from contingency voting to First past the post voting. Queensland retained this method for state elections until Preferential Voting was restored by the Country/Liberal Coalition at the 1963 state election. The election resulted in Labor receiving a fifth term in office, albeit with a reduced majority. The Toowoomba Region is a local government area located in the Darling Downs part of Queensland, Australia. Established in 2008, it was preceded by several previous local government areas with histories extending back to the early 1900s and beyond. In 2018-2019, it had a A$491 million budget, of which A$316 million is for service delivery and A$175.13 million capital (infrastructure) budget. Mount Tyson is a rural town and locality in the Toowoomba Region, Queensland, Australia. In the , the locality of Mount Tyson had a population of 285 people.
