Olympic Council Of Malaysia
Olympic Council of Malaysia, or commonly OCM or MOM, ( ms, Majlis Olimpik Malaysia, IOC code: MAS) is the National Olympic Committee representing Malaysia. It is also the body responsible for Malaysia's representation at the Commonwealth Games. History The body was founded in 1953 as the Federation of Malaya Olympic Council (FMOC). The FMOC received its recognition as the National Olympic Committee of the Federation of Malaya in May 1954. On 16 September 1963, Singapore and the British crown colonies of North Borneo and Sarawak joined the Federation of Malaya to form Malaysia. On 5 May 1964, the Singapore Olympic and Sports Council, the Sarawak Sports Olympic Committee and the Sabah Olympic Committee and the FMOC was merged to form the Olympic Council of Malaysia. Indoor Hockey At The 2019 Southeast Asian Games
The indoor hockey competitions at the 2019 SEA Games in the Philippines were held at the LB Centro Mall & Convention Center in Los Banos, Laguna from 4 to 10 December 2019. There were competitions in two events (one event for each gender). Indonesia had arrived with the intention of participating both their Men's and Women's Team. However, due to conflict back home with officiating clubs and the organization the FIH disallowed their participation. They had left a few days after this forced withdrawal of participation. The ice hockey competition at the 2019 Southeast Asian Games in the Philippines was held at the SM Mall of Asia Skating Rink in Pasay, Metro Manila from 1 to 8 December 2019. Like in the previous edition, only a men's competition was held. Malaysia has requested the Philippines to introduce a women's ice hockey event to the games. The hosts complied with Malaysia's request but a total of three nations only expressed their interest to participate in a women's tournament a team short in order for women's hockey to be a medal event. Football at the 2019 Southeast Asian Games were held across three venues in the Philippines; the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila, Biñan Football Stadium in Biñan, Laguna, and the City of Imus Grandstand, Imus for the men's tournament. The women's tournament was held in Manila and Biñan. Vietnam won gold in both men's and women's tournaments, beating Indonesia and Thailand respectively. The 2019 Southeast Asian Games also witnessed surprisingly amazing performances of Cambodia football.
