Makund Behari Lal
Makund Bihari Lal (31 January 1907 – 5 December 2002) was a zoologist and the Seventh Revered Leader of the Radha Soami sect, living at and presiding over Dayalbagh in Agra. He served as a Professor in the Department of Zoology and subsequently as the Vice-Chancellor of University of Lucknow from 1968–71. He was also the founding director of Dayalbagh Educational Institute and the master architect of its education policy. He was elected as a Fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences in 1942, and a fellow of the Indian National Science Academy in 1962. Education Mukund Behari Lal studied at the Government High School, Sitapur and the Christian Intermediate College, Lucknow before obtaining a BSc and MSc in zoology from the University of Lucknow. Radha Soami is a spiritual tradition founded by Shiv Dayal Singh in 1861 on Basant Panchami Day in Agra, India. p. 90 note 5, Quote: "The date of Seth Shiv Dayal's first public discourse is Basant Panchami Day, February 15, 1861"., Quote: "The movement traces its origins to Seth Shiv Dayal Singh, who began his public ministry in Agra in 1861." Indian National Science Academy
The Indian National Science Academy (INSA) is a national academy in New Delhi for Indian scientists in all branches of science and technology. In August 2019, Dr. Chandrima Shaha was appointed as the president of Indian National Science Academy, becoming the first woman to head the INSA (for 2020–22). In 2015 INSA has constituted a junior wing for young scientists in the country named Indian National Young Academy of Sciences (INYAS) in line with other national young academies.
