Maico Casella
Maico Casella Schuth (born 5 June 1997) is an Argentine field hockey player who plays as a forward for San Fernando and the Argentine national team. Club career Casella started playing hockey at age six in Argentina for San Fernando. In July 2019, he signed for HGC in the Netherlands. He scored 27 goals in two seasons for HGC and he left them in 2021 for another Dutch club HC Tilburg, where he signed for two seasons. In his first season at Tilburg they were relegated and he did not stay in Tilburg for his second season. On 8 July 2022 it was announced he would return to HGC. Due to personal reasons he returned to Argentina in the middle of the 2022–23 season. International career Junior national team In 2014, Casella made his debut for Argentina, representing the Under 18 national team at a qualifier for the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics. The 2016 Men's Junior Pan-Am Championship was the 11th edition of the Men's Pan American Junior Championship. It was held from 20 to 28 May 2016 in Toronto, Canada. The tournament served as a qualifier for the 2016 Men's Hockey Junior World Cup, held in Lucknow, India in December 2016. The 2016 Men's Hockey Junior World Cup was the 11th edition of the Hockey Junior World Cup for men, an international field hockey tournament. It was held in Lucknow, India from 8–18 December 2016. The Men's FIH Hockey Junior World Cup, formerly known as the Hockey Junior World Cup, is an international field hockey competition organized by the International Hockey Federation (FIH). The tournament was started in 1979. Since 1985 it has been held every four years.With the exception of the 2021 tournament,competitors must be under the age of 21 as of December 31 in the year before the tournament is held. There is also a corresponding event for the women's junior teams. This competition started in 1989 and uses the same format as the men's event. Five countries have dominated the event's history.
