Mahtomedi ( ) is a city in Washington County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 7,676 at the 2010 census. Mahtomedi is considered to be a suburb of St. Paul, and is located between St. Paul and Stillwater. Geography Mahtomedi is about 15 miles northeast of St. Paul, the capital of Minnesota. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of , of which is land and is water, part of which is White Bear Lake.
