Mahedi Hasan (born 12 December 1994) is a Bangladeshi cricketer who plays for Khulna Division and the Bangladesh cricket team. He made his international debut for Bangladesh in February 2018. Domestic career Mahedi made his Twenty20 (T20) debut on 8 November 2016 playing for Barisal Bulls in the 2016–17 Bangladesh Premier League. In October 2018, Mahedi was named in the squad for the Comilla Victorians team, following the draft for the 2018–19 Bangladesh Premier League. In November 2018, while bowling for South Zone in the 2018–19 Bangladesh Cricket League, he took his maiden five-wicket haul in first-class cricket. In August 2019, he was one of 35 cricketers named in a training camp ahead of Bangladesh's 2019–20 season. 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup
The 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup was the seventh ICC Men's T20 World Cup tournament, with the matches played in the United Arab Emirates and Oman from 17 October to 14 November 2021. The West Indies were the defending champions, but were eventually eliminated in the Super 12 stage. The Bangladesh cricket team toured New Zealand in March and April 2021 to play three Twenty20 International (T20I) and three One Day International (ODI) matches. A One Day International (ODI) is a form of limited overs cricket, played between two teams with international status, in which each team faces a fixed number of overs, currently 50, with the game lasting up to 9 hours. The Cricket World Cup, generally held every four years, is played in this format. One Day International matches are also called Limited Overs Internationals (LOI), although this generic term may also refer to Twenty20 International matches. 2019 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup
The 2019 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup was the fourth edition of the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup held in Bangladesh between 14 and 23 November 2019. Eight teams participated in the tournament, including five under-23 age level teams of Test nations and the top three teams from the 2018 Asia Cup Qualifier. The tournament was organized by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). Nepal replaced the United Arab Emirates, after they pulled out due to an unknown reason. 2019–20 Bangladesh Tri-Nation Series
The 2019–20 Bangladesh Tri-Nation Series was a cricket tournament that took place in September 2019. It was a tri-nation series between Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Zimbabwe with all the matches played as Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). Zimbabwe lost their first three matches of the series, therefore, Bangladesh and Afghanistan progressed to the final.
