Magnus (comic Artist)
Magnus, pseudonym of Roberto Raviola (May 30, 1939 – February 5, 1996), was an Italian comic book artist, recognized as one of the greatest Italian cartoonists. Biography Born in Bologna in 1939, he studied at Academy of Fine Arts and graduated with a degree in set design. Having worked as an illustrator, he started his comics career and his association with Max Bunker in 1964 with the series '' Kriminal''. He took the pseudonym Magnus, from the Latin phrase ''Magnus Pictor Fecit'' ("A Great Painter Did It"). During the 1960s the duo became a mainstay of Italian comics creating successful series such as '' Kriminal'' and '' Satanik'' (1964), '' Dennis Cobb'', '' Gesebel'' (1966, only first six stories by Magnus) and ''Maxmagnus'' (1968). ''Fumetti neri'' (Italian for "black comics") is a subgenre of Italian comics, born in Italy with the creation of the ''Diabolik'' character (1962). Overview The "Fumetti neri" name comes from "cronaca nera", the Italian name for crime news. Pancreatic Cancer
Pancreatic cancer arises when cells in the pancreas, a glandular organ behind the stomach, begin to multiply out of control and form a mass. These cancerous cells have the ability to invade other parts of the body. A number of types of pancreatic cancer are known. Claudio Nizzi (born 9 September 1938 in Sétif, Algeria) is an Italian comic author. He started his career as comic scriptwriter in 1963, writing for the comics magazine '' Il Vittorioso''. During 1969 he started working for '' Il Giornalino'' creating many characters ('' Larry Yuma'' - in collaboration with Carlo Boscarato, ''Capitan Erik'', '' Nicoletta'' and ''Rosco & Sonny''). Flash Gordon is the protagonist of a space adventure comic strip created and originally drawn by Alex Raymond. First published January 7, 1934, the strip was inspired by, and created to compete with, the already established '' Buck Rogers'' adventure strip.
