Magazine Z
was a Japanese seinen mixed-media magazine published by Kodansha, aimed at adult males, but particularly at hardcore anime and manga fans, featuring articles as well as manga tied into popular franchises. Original manga were also featured in the magazine. It was announced in September 2008 that ''Magazine Z'' would be discontinued. The last issue shipped on January 26, 2009. Seinen
is an editorial category of Japanese comics marketed toward young adult men. In Japanese, the word ''seinen'' literally means "youth", but the term "''seinen'' manga" is also used to describe the target audience of magazines like ''Weekly Manga Times'' and ''Weekly Manga Goraku'' which cater specifically to men's interests, and are marketed towards a demographic of young adult men between the ages of 18 and 40. ''Seinen'' manga are distinguished from ''shōnen'' manga which are for young teen boys, although some ''seinen'' manga like '' xxxHolic'' share similarities with ''shōnen'' manga. ''Wolf's Rain'' (stylized in uppercase as ''WOLF'S RAIN'') is a Japanese anime television series created by writer Keiko Nobumoto and produced by Bones. It was directed by Tensai Okamura and featured character designs by Toshihiro Kawamoto with a soundtrack produced and arranged by Yoko Kanno. is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Fujima Takuya. The individual chapters were serialized in ''Magazine Z'', and compiled into three ''tankōbon'' volumes released by Kodansha from February 2003 to March 2004. Set in Ikebukuro, Japan, the series revolves around the struggle of two Feral, stray cat groups. Cyan, a young newly abandoned cat, joins one of them, the Free Collars. Each cat has two appearances; to humans, they appear as normal cats, but to other cats, they appear as Catgirl (anime and manga), catboys and catgirls.
