Mads Hendeliowitz
Mads Hendeliowitz (born 14 January 1982) is a Danish-born Olympic dressage rider who has been representing Sweden since 2010. Dressage Mads Hendeliowitz competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with an Oldenburg stallion Jimmie Choo. He finished 29th in the individual and 5th in the team competition. Mads was initially named as a reserve rider for the Rio Olympics. However, he went on to compete at the Games after his teammate Therese Nilshagen was unable to participate due to her horse Dante Weltino failing a pre-competition veterinary examination. Hendeliowitz also participated at several Dressage World Cup Western-European league qualifiers. As of 2016, his best result is 5th place from Odense in 2016. Hendeliowitz runs Segersta Equestrian in Bålsta, Sweden, along with Swedish dressage riders Jeanna Högberg and Karin Oljermark. Dressage
Dressage ( or ; a French term, most commonly translated to mean "training") is a form of horse riding performed in exhibition and competition, as well as an art sometimes pursued solely for the sake of mastery. As an equestrian sport defined by the International Equestrian Federation, dressage is described as "the highest expression of horse training" where "horse and rider are expected to perform from memory a series of predetermined movements." Competitions are held at all levels from amateur to the Olympic Games and World Equestrian Games. Its fundamental purpose is to develop, through standardized progressive training methods, a horse's natural athletic ability and willingness to perform, thereby maximizing its potential as a riding horse. Mounted Police
Mounted police are police who patrol on horseback or camelback. Their day-to-day function is typically picturesque or ceremonial, but they are also employed in crowd control because of their mobile mass and height advantage and increasingly in the UK for crime prevention and high visibility policing roles. The added height and visibility that the horses give their riders allows officers to observe a wider area, and it also allows people in the wider area to see the officers, which helps deter crime and helps people find officers when they need them. When employed for crowd control, there is a risk that some people may be trampled (resulting in injuries or death). Due to this, authoritarian regimes often use mounted police to supress protests, as the public generally does not view these "accidental" deaths as resulting from a deliberate use of deadly force. Jeanna Högberg (born 16 June 1982) is a Swedish dressage rider. She represented Sweden at the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Normandy, where she placed 6th in the team competition representing Sweden, and 39th in the individual dressage competition. Bålsta is a locality and the seat of Håbo Municipality, Uppsala County, Sweden with 13 138 inhabitants in 2015. Although not in Stockholm County, it has Bålsta Station, the north-western terminus of the Stockholm suburban rail system. Many inhabitants commute to Stockholm. The FEI World Cup Dressage Final is an annual international dressage series involving the world's best dressage horses and riders. It has been held since 1985. The World Cup is run in the form of a CDI. History The history of the World Cup Dressage Final is closely connected to the history of the Grand Prix Freestyle. In 1984 Joep Bartels (former rider, husband of Tineke Bartels and father of Imke Schellekens-Bartels) saw Reiner Klimke and ''Ahlerich'' perform the one tempi changes to John Williams' Olympic Fanfare at the 1984 Summer Olympics. Inspired by this, he thought of a freestyle dressage competition. One year later, the first World Cup Dressage Final was held.
