Bålsta is a locality and the seat of Håbo Municipality, Uppsala County, Sweden with 13 138 inhabitants in 2015. Although not in Stockholm County, it has Bålsta Station, the north-western terminus of the Stockholm suburban rail system. Many inhabitants commute to Stockholm. The travel time is 40 minutes by suburban train, and less than 30 minutes by commuter-or intercity rail. Lasse Åberg, a famous Swedish actor, musician and artist, lives in Bålsta and has opened a museum there. Even though Bålsta's relatively small size, there are many organizations and activity-centers in the town, such as a hockey-arena hosting the team Bålsta HC. It also has a mall with several stores. Stockholm commuter rail ( sv, Stockholms pendeltåg) is the commuter rail system in Stockholm County, Sweden. The system is an important part of the public transport in Stockholm, and is controlled by Storstockholms Lokaltrafik. HÃ¥bo Municipality
Håbo Municipality ( sv, Håbo kommun) is a municipality in Uppsala County in east central Sweden. Its seat is located in the town of Bålsta. The municipality was formed in connection with the local government reform of 1952. Bålstaåsen (Åsen) is a ridge which makes up the northeastern part of Bålsta, a municipality in Sweden. Its eastern part is home to the Ullevi, Sågarbacken, and Valla neighbourhoods, but the only one of these actually situated on Åsen is Valla. Båstad () is a Urban areas in Sweden, locality and the seat of Båstad Municipality, Scania County, Sweden, with approximately 5,000 permanent residents. It is however one of Sweden's most typical summer resorts. The population is presumably more than twice as large between April and September, and even larger during July.
