Madras (soundtrack)
''Madras'' is the soundtrack album of the 2014 Tamil drama film of the same name written and directed by Pa. Ranjith and produced by Studio Green. Santhosh Narayanan composed the soundtrack album and background score for the film. The album consists of seven tracks with five songs and two themes. While Gana Bala penned the lyrics for the two songs sung by him, the remaining three were penned by Kabilan and Umadevi. The soundtrack album was released on 27 June 2014. Release Santhosh Narayanan composed the soundtrack and background score. He elaborated that the re-recording of the songs and the background music would be a major highlight in the film, going on to say that "Kakidha Kappal" and "Aagayam Theepidicha" would surely win the hearts of listeners. Santhosh Narayanan
Santhosh Narayanan is an Indian composer and musician in the Tamil film industry. Early life Santhosh Narayanan was born in Tiruchirappalli, India. He is the younger of two children. He was educated at RSK Higher Secondary School, Tiruchirappalli. Santhosh Narayanan completed his B.E., Computer Science & Engineering at J. J. College of Engineering and Technology, Thiruchirapalli. After completing his education, he worked as a recording engineer, arranger and programmer, before beginning to produce independent music and compose for films. He composed the music including two original songs for the Telugu short film ''Advaitham'', He was also part of the contemporary folk music band "La Pongal" in which he performed in a few live shows in 2009. Dheekshitha Venkadeshan (born 26 June 1998), known professionally as Dhee, is an Australian singer of Sri Lankan Tamil descent. She has sung songs mostly in her step-father Santhosh Narayanan's albums and has once been nominated at the Filmfare Awards for Best Singer. She is known for her distinctive alto voice.
