Madampi
''Madampi'' () is a 2008 Indian Malayalam-language family drama film written and directed by B. Unnikrishnan. It stars Mohanlal, Siddique, Ajmal Ameer, Kavya Madhavan, Mallika Kapoor, and K. P. A. C. Lalitha. The film was released on 4 July 2008. It received positive reviews from critics and was a box office success. Plot Gopalakrishna Pillai (Mohanlal) is a rich money-lender in a village called Elavumthitta in Pathanamthitta district. People misunderstand him to be money-minded, without having any emotional bond even towards his mother Devaki Amma (KPAC Lalitha) or younger brother Ramakrishna Pillai (Ajmal Ameer). Krishna Praba is an Indian actress and professional dancer who chiefly appears in Malayalam films. She made her entry into the film industry with the film ''Madampi'' (2008), directed by B. Siddique (born 1 October 1962) is an Indian actor and producer, who works mainly in Malayalam cinema. Along with appearing in over 350 Malayalam films, he has also acted in a few Tamil, Telugu and Hindi language films. He is known for having played a wide range of starring and supporting roles, including comic characters, romantic leads, anti-heroes and villains.
