Mid-Coast Council
MidCoast Council is a local government area (LGA) located in the Mid North Coast region of New South Wales, Australia. The council was formed on 12 May 2016 through a merger of the Gloucester Shire, Great Lakes and City of Greater Taree councils. The council comprises an area of and occupies the southern portion of the Mid North Coast of New South Wales stretching between the coastal towns of and and northwards to Crowdy Bay National Park. The council region includes the three great lakes, the coastal towns of , , Taree, and onto Crowdy Head north of . The LGA extends inland to the Barrington Tops National Park west of , plus Stroud, Bulahdelah and Wingham. It includes the Manning River and valley adjoining the Three Brothers mountains. Comboyne Parish (Macquarie County), New South Wales
Comboyne is a village on the Mid North Coast region of New South Wales. It is situated on the Comboyne Plateau, some 60 km south-west of Port Macquarie, 35 km west of Kew and 54 km north-west of Taree. It is an attractive agricultural area with fertile soils and a high rainfall. The word "Comboyne" is a corruption of the local Biripi people's name for "a place of kangaroos" (Gambuyn). At the , Comboyne had a population of 453. The Birpai (also known as Birrbay) people have lived in this area for more than 40,000 years. Previously, the area was covered in sub-tropical rainforest which has almost all been cleared by the early 20th century. The early explorers originally sought the valuable timber of the Australian Red Cedar. The second oldest natural reserve in the state is at nearby Boorganna Nature Reserve which preserves a remnant of sub-tropical rainforest. CoGo Bike Share is a public bicycle sharing system serving Columbus, Ohio and its suburbs. The service is operated by the bikeshare company Motivate (part of Lyft, Inc.) Camden Haven is a parish in the Mid North Coast region of New South Wales, Australia, approximately 30 km south of the major regional centre of Port Macquarie. The harbour is located where the Camden Haven River empties into the Tasman Sea. The Birpai (also known as Birrbay) people have lived in this area for more than 40,000 years. Camden Haven is also the name given to a group of settlements located on the shores of Camden Haven and in the rural hinterland.
