''Machine Messiah'' is the fourteenth studio album by Brazilian heavy metal music, metal band Sepultura, released on January 13, 2017. The album sold 1,900 units in the United States in its first week. Album information The band recorded ''Machine Messiah'' in Sweden with producer Jens Bogren. ''Machine Messiah'' is the band's first studio album in over three years since ''The Mediator Between Head and Hands Must Be the Heart'' (2013), marking the longest gap between two studio albums in their career. The album cover art was created by Filipino artist Camille Dela Rosa. The band stated the concept of the album, saying, "The main inspiration around ''Machine Messiah'' is the robotization of our society nowadays. The concept of a God Machine who created humanity and now it seems that this cycle is closing itself, returning to the starting point. Kairos (album)
''Kairos'' is the twelfth studio album by the Brazilian metal band Sepultura. It was released on June 24, 2011 by independent German record label Nuclear Blast Records. This is the band's first release on the label, marking their first album not released on SPV/Steamhammer since 2001's ''Nation''. Background and recording On July 6, 2010, it was announced that Sepultura were signed with Nuclear Blast Records, and would release their first album for the label in 2011. By the end of 2010, the band had begun writing new material and entered the studio to begin recording their twelfth album with producer Roy Z (Judas Priest, Halford, Iron Maiden's Bruce Dickinson, Helloween). Recording sessions for ''Kairos'' took place from December 2010 to March 2011 at Trama Studios in São Paulo, Brazil, the same studio where its 2009 predecessor ''A-Lex'' was recorded. Paulo Xisto Pinto Júnior (born 30 April 1969) is a Brazilian musician best known as the bassist for heavy metal band Sepultura. He joined Sepultura after Roberto Raffan left the band in 1984, becoming Sepultura's second bassist. Although no original members are left in Sepultura, Pinto is the longest remaining member of Sepultura despite never performing on any album until ''Chaos A.D.'' (1993). Eloy Casagrande (born 29 January 1991) is a Brazilian musician, best known as the drummer of thrash metal band Sepultura and hard rock act Iahweh. Biography Casagrande replaced Jean Dolabella in Sepultura, who left the band in November 2011, and is their youngest member. He is also known for his time with power metal singer Andre Matos and post-hardcore/metalcore band Gloria. Casagrande began playing at age seven, when he got a toy drum from his mother; after a year, he got a real drum kit. Andreas Rudolf Kisser (; born 24 August 1968) is a Brazilian musician, best known for being the lead guitarist for the metal band Sepultura. He has been featured on every Sepultura release since their second album, ''Schizophrenia''. Additionally, Kisser has also been involved in other bands such as the rock supergroup Hail!, Sexoturica and, more recently, De La Tierra.
