Macedonian National Football Team
The North Macedonia national football team ( mk, Фудбалска репрезентација на Северна Македонија, Fudbalska reprezentacija na Severna Makedonija) represents North Macedonia in men's international football, and is administered by the Football Federation of Macedonia. The team play their home matches at the Toše Proeski National Arena in Skopje. North Macedonia have been rising in football in recent years, reaching Euro 2020 (their first major tournament) and the European qualifying play-off final of the 2022 World Cup (after defeating Italy in Palermo). The Football Federation of Macedonia (FFM; mk, Фудбалска Федерација на Македонија, ФФМ; sq, Federata e Futbollit të Maqedonisë) or Football Federation of North Macedonia is the governing body of football in North Macedonia based in Skopje. Slovenia National Football Team
The Slovenia national football team ( sl, Slovenska nogometna reprezentanca) represents Slovenia in men's international football and is controlled by the Football Association of Slovenia, the governing body for football in Slovenia. The squad is under the global jurisdiction of FIFA and is governed in Europe by UEFA. It competes in the three major professional tournaments available to European nations: the FIFA World Cup, UEFA Nations League and the UEFA European Championship. Darko Pančev ( mk, Дарко Панчев, ; born 7 September 1965) is a Macedonian former professional footballer who played as a forward. He most notably played for FK Vardar and Red Star Belgrade. He was part of the Red Star Belgrade squad that won the European Cup in 1990–91, and was awarded the European Golden Boot in 1991. Zoran Boshkovski ( mk, Зоран Бошковски; born 11 December 1967) is a retired Macedonian professional footballer. Club career Boshkovski was twice the top scorer of the Macedonian First Football League, scoring 21 goals during the 1993–94 season and 20 goals during the 1995–96 season, with FK Sileks. International career Boshkovski was the first player to score for the newly created North Macedonia national football team, just three minutes into its first international, against Slovenia on 13 October 1993. Dragi Kanatlarovski - Capar ( mk, Драги Канатларовски - Цапар; born 8 November 1960) is a Macedonian football manager and former player. He represented the Yugoslav national team and the Macedonian national team. Name issue His original name is Dragi and not Dragan as he is often mistaken for. The confusion happens since in North Macedonia Dragi is one of the nicknames for those who are called Dragan, but not in this case. Similar problem has the current goalkeeper of the Macedonian national team, Tome Pačovski who is mistaken for Tomislav. Ilija Najdoski ( mk, Илија Најдоски; born 26 March 1964) is a retired Macedonian footballer who played for Red Star Belgrade and was part of their European Cup victory in 1991. Boban Babunski
Boban Babunski ( mk, Бобан Бабунски; born 5 May 1968) is a Macedonian retired footballer who played as a central defender, and a coach. Playing career Babunski was born in Skopje, SR Macedonia, Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. On the club level he started playing with hometown's FK Vardar, then spent two seasons in Bulgaria with PFC CSKA Sofia to become of the first Macedonians to compete in the A Football Group.
