Maajja
Maajja (stylised in all lowercase) is an independent record label and distribution company based out of Toronto and Chennai. Unlike traditional record labels, the label does not own their artists’ master recordings. History 2021―present: Formation Maajja was founded by Canadian tech entrepreneurs, Noel Kirthiraj, Sen Sachi, Prasana Balachandran, in collaboration with A.R. Rahman as a "technology-enabled label alternative" created with artists in mind. Maajja was announced to the public on 26 January 2021 in a video, presented by A.R. Rahman, on the maajja YouTube channel. Mission Maajja aims to establish sustainable careers for their artists, hence the label not owning master recordings and all copyrights remaining with the artists when they release music via the label. "Enjoy Enjaami" () is a Tamil-language song recorded by singer Dhee featuring Indian rapper Arivu and Indian producer Santhosh Narayanan. It is written and sung by lyricist Arivu, Dhee debut single, composed and arranged by Narayanan under the music label/management Maajja, an independent platform launched by Indian producer A. R. Rahman. The song was released on 7 March 2021. "Enjoy Enjaami" is a pop and hip hop song incorporating elements of R&B and oppari, a folk music style of Tamil Nadu. "Neeye Oli" () is the 2021 Tamil song composed by Santhosh Narayanan and Shan Vincent de Paul, who also recorded the track along with Navz-47; with lyrics for the track being written by Arivu and Shan Vincent de Paul. It is the second release from the upcoming studio album '' Made in Jaffna'' curated by Shan which was under production for four years. It released on 30 June 2021 by the music label/management Maajja, an independent platform launched by A. R. Rahman. The song is used as the theme track for Pa. Ranjith-directorial ''Sarpatta Parambarai''. Premise The song was picturised on the character Kabilan (Arya), who had its share of ups-and-downs in his life, and eventually try to bounce back with all his might. ''Made in Jaffna'' is a 14-song studio album curated by Toronto-based Tamil artist Shan Vincent de Paul which released on 6 September 2021. It is Shan's third studio album after ''Saviors'' (2017) and ''Kothu Boys'' (2020). The album describes about identity, perseverance, and reconciliation and learning to embrace the tenets of an outsider juggling multiple identities in a foreign land. Dheekshitha Venkadeshan (born 26 June 1998), known professionally as Dhee, is an Australian singer of Sri Lankan Tamil descent. She has sung songs mostly in her step-father Santhosh Narayanan's albums and has once been nominated at the Filmfare Awards for Best Singer. She is known for her distinctive alto voice. Arivu
Arivarasu Kalainesan, more commonly known as Arivu, is an Indian rapper, lyricist, and playback singer who works in Tamil language films. He is best known for the song "Vaathi Raid" from ''Master'' (2021) and for his single "Enjoy Enjaami". Early life Arivu was brought up in Arakkonam, a town 60 kilometres west of Chennai. He was exposed to many folk songs as he grew up in family without TV and radio, as his parents wanted him to concentrate on school. Santhosh Narayanan
Santhosh Narayanan is an Indian composer and musician in the Tamil film industry. Early life Santhosh Narayanan was born in Tiruchirappalli, India. He is the younger of two children. He was educated at RSK Higher Secondary School, Tiruchirappalli. Santhosh Narayanan completed his B.E., Computer Science & Engineering at J. J. College of Engineering and Technology, Thiruchirapalli. After completing his education, he worked as a recording engineer, arranger and programmer, before beginning to produce independent music and compose for films. Thamarai (born 10 November 1975) is a noted Tamil poet and lyricist. She is a prominent figure in the Tamil literary world.
