Maa Aur Mamta
''Maa Aur Mamta'' () is a 1970 Indian Hindi-language drama film, produced by Baldev Pushkarna and M.M. Malhotra under the Suchitra Kala Mandir banner and directed by Asit Sen. It stars Ashok Kumar, Nutan, Jeetendra, Mumtaz, Nirupa Roy and music was composed by Laxmikant–Pyarelal. Plot Maya, a poor girl, is the daughter of a "chaprasi" named Gopal who works for a kind-hearted Catholic priest, Father Henry. One night, while her father is dying, there is a knock on the door. Maya opens it, only to find Father Henry rushing in with a babe in arms. He gives the child in Maya's care and begs her to guard the child until he returns to claim it. Maya's father dies. Father Henry disappears, and Maya is left literally "holding the baby." The local panchayat, believing the worst, drive her away. Asit Sen (director)
Asit Sen (24 September 1922 – 25 August 2001) was an Indian film director, cinematographer and screenwriter, who worked in both Bengali and Hindi cinema. He was born in Dhaka, now in modern-day Bangladesh, when it was part of East Bengal in British India. He directed 17 feature films in Hindi and Bengali, and was most known for the films '' Deep Jweley Jai'' (1959) and ''Uttar Falguni ''(1963) in Bengali, '' Mamta'' (1966), '' Khamoshi'' (1969), ''Anokhi Raat'' (1968) and '' Safar'' (1970) in Hindi. Birbal
Birbal (; born Mahesh Das; 1528 16 February 1586), or Raja Birbal, was a Saraswat Hindu Bhatt Brahmin advisor and main commander (''Mukhya Senapati'') of army in the court of the Mughal emperor, Akbar. He is mostly known in the Indian subcontinent for the folk tales which focus on his wit. Birbal was appointed by Akbar as a Minister (Mantri) and used to be a Poet and Singer in around 1556–1562. He had a close association with Emperor Akbar and was one of his most important courtiers, part of a group called the ''navaratnas'' (nine jewels). In February 1586, Birbal led an army to crush an unrest in the north-west Indian subcontinent where he was killed along with many troops in an ambush by the rebel tribe.
