Ma Jianfei
Ma Jianfei (, born 29 July 1984) is a Chinese fencer, silver medallist in the 2014 World Fencing Championships at Kazan and team silver medallist in the 2011 World Fencing Championships at Catania. He won the 2013–14 Fencing World Cup. He went to Ludixi Primary School (荻西小学), in Liwan District of Guangzhou. He also took part in the school sports meeting in December 11, 2016. Career In 2012, Ma made the podium three times in the Fencing World Cup, including a gold medal in the Prince Takamado World Cup. The FIE Fencing World Cup is an international fencing competition held by the Fédération Internationale d'Escrime. Aleksey Borisovich Cheremisinov (russian: Алексей Борисович Черемисинов; born 9 July 1985) is a Russian right-handed foil fencer, two-time team European champion, two-time individual European champion, 2014 individual world champion, two-time Olympian, and 2016 team Olympic champion. Career Cheremisinov took up fencing when he was seven, because there was a fencing hall close to home. His first coach was Lev Koreshkov. Cheremisinov joined the Russia national team in 2007. He attempted to qualify for the 2008 Summer Olympics, but his defeat in the quarter-finals of the Lisbon qualifying tournament to Romania's Virgil Sălișcan ended his hopes. Timur Marselevich Safin ( rus, Тимур Марселевич Сафин, , tʲɪˈmur ˈsafʲɪn; born 4 August 1992) is a Russian right-handed foil fencer. He is a two-time team European champion and 2016 individual European champion. A two-time Olympian, Safin is a 2021 team Olympic silver medalist, 2016 team Olympic champion, and 2016 individual Olympic bronze medalist. Career Safin, who is of Tatar descent, took up fencing when he was nine years old after a coach came to make a presentation at his school. Alexander Choupenitch
Alexander Choupenitch (; born 2 May 1994) is a Czech right-handed foil fencer, two-time Olympian, and 2021 individual Olympic bronze medalist. Personal life Choupenitch is the son of Belarusian-born opera singers who both worked at National Theatre Brno. The unusual form of his name–Choupenitch instead of Šupenič–is due to the fact that papers issued to his parents for travelling through Europe used a French spelling. His first sport, basketball, left him frustrated as he seldom got to touch the ball, so his mother took him to the fencing section of Sokol Brno when he was eight. He later learnt that his step-grandmother, Tatyana Petrenko-Samusenko, was a three-time Olympic foil champion for the USSR. The 42nd FIE Fencing World Cup began in October 2012 and concluded in July 2013 at the 2013 World Fencing Championships held in Budapest.
