''Rock'n'Roll Wolf'' ( ro, Mama, ''Mother'', russian: Мама) is a musical film from 1976 and is a Romanian–Soviet–French co-production. The storyline is loosely based on the famous plot about the goat and her kids, published as "The Wolf and the Seven Young Kids" in Grimm's Fairy Tales and known to Romanian audience as Ion Creangă's "Capra cu trei iezi" ("The Goat and her Three Kids") and to Russian audience as a folk tale "Волк и семеро козлят" ("The Wolf and the Seven Kids"). In the movie the number of goat kids is five. Elisabeta Bostan
Elisabeta Bostan (born 1 March 1931) is a Romanian film director and screenwriter. She directed 25 films between 1956 and 1991. Biography Born in Buhuși, Bacău County, she attended the in Piatra Neamț, where she staged her first theater production at age 14. She then went to Bucharest, where she enrolled in the Institute of Theatre and Film I.L. Caragiale, graduating in 1954. She made her debut in 1958 with two short films, "Trei jocuri românești" and "Cloșca cu puii de aur". Bostan taught at the Institute of Theatre and Film, where she served for a period as Dean. She received prizes at festivals in Moscow, Tehran, Cannes, Venice, Gijón, and Tours. In 2009 she received the Gopo Award for Lifetime Achievement. Capra Cu Trei Iezi
"The Goat and Her Three Kids" or "The Goat with Three Kids" ( ro, Capra cu trei iezi) is an 1875 short story, fable and fairy tale by Romanian author Ion Creangă. Figuratively illustrating for the notions of motherly love and childish disobedience, it recounts how a family of goats is ravaged by the Big Bad Wolf, allowed inside the secured home by the oldest, most ill-behaved and least prudent of the kids. The only one of the children to survive is the youngest and most obedient, who then helps his mother plan her revenge on the predator, leading to a dénouement in which the wolf is tricked, burned alive and stoned to death. Popularized by the Romanian curriculum and included in primers, Creangă's tale has endured as one of the best-known works in local children's literature.
