M Hasan Ali Khan
Rear Admiral M Hasan Ali Khan, ndc, psc, BN (died February 19, 2013) was Chief of Staff of the Bangladesh Navy between 2005 and 2007. He was preceded by Rear Admiral Shah Iqbal Mujtaba ndc, psc, BN and succeeded by Vice Admiral Sarwar Jahan Nizam ndu, psc, BN. Early life Khan was born in the hat-laxmipur district of Gaibandha in 1950. He joined as an officer cadet in Pakistan Navy on 9 May 1969. Later he was commissioned into the Executive Branch of Bangladesh Navy in 1972. Admiral Khan graduated from the Defence Services Command & Staff College in Dhaka and National Defence College Dhaka. He also took the degree from United States Pacific Centre for Security Studies Executives course. Naval commands Khan commanded a number of ships and establishments of the navy. Gaibandha
Gaibandha ( bn, গাইবান্ধা) is a town and district headquarters of Gaibandha District in northern Bangladesh. It is a centre of commerce and trade of the Gaibandha District and is located under the Rangpur Division. The area of the city is approximately 10.54 square kilometres. It consists of nine wards. It is certified as a "ka" (A) category Paurasava(municipality). Name The city is named after its eponymous district. There are two opinions about the name of Gaibandha. Rear Admiral
Rear admiral is a senior naval flag officer rank, equivalent to a major general and air vice marshal and above that of a commodore and captain, but below that of a vice admiral. Rear Admiral Shah Iqbal Mujtaba, ndc, psc, BN (born 1948) is former Chief of Staff for the Bangladesh Navy. Early life Admiral Mujtaba joined the erstwhile Pakistan Navy as an officer cadet on 11 November 1966, and commissioned in the Executive Branch on 1 June 1970. Vice Admiral Sarwar Jahan Nizam, ndu, psc, BN (born 1952) is the first ever Vice-Admiral and Ex- Chief of Staff for the Bangladesh Navy.
