MTN-Qhubeka
Team Qhubeka () was a UCI WorldTeam based in South Africa. The team rode to raise awareness and funds for Qhubeka, a South African not-for-profit organisation. The team was founded in 2007 and was the first-ever African team to ride the Tour de France (2015). History Foundation The team was founded in 2007, becoming a Continental Team in 2008. The team remained as a UCI Continental Team until the end of the 2012 season, with the team registering its interest for a Professional Continental licence for 2013 under the name MTN-Qhubeka. Daniel Teklehaimanot Girmazion ( ti, ዳንኤል ተክለሃይማኖት ግርማጽዮን, ; born 10 November 1988) is a professional road racing cyclist from Eritrea, who last rode for UCI Professional Continental team . Career Teklehaimanot was a member of the UCI's World Cycling Centre training program before signing for the new Australian cycling team in 2012. Whilst at the World Cycling Centre he was diagnosed with tachycardia, which was corrected by surgery in early 2009. He returned to riding in May of that year and went on to finish sixth overall in that year's Tour de l'Avenir. In 2010 he rode as a trainee for . Matthew Harley Goss (born 5 November 1986) is a former Australian professional road and track racing cyclist, his final professional team before retirement was the UCI Professional Continental team . He first competed in track cycling before making a transition to the road. He earned a gold medal at the 2006 UCI Track Cycling World Championships in the Team Pursuit event and came in second place at the 2011 World Championships Road race. He also won the 2010 GP Ouest-France, the 2011 Milan–San Remo as well as 2 stages of the Giro d'Italia, among other victories. Brian Smith (born 7 July 1967 in Paisley) is a Scottish former racing cyclist turned commentator and manager. Before turning professional Smith rode for the French amateur team Athletic Club de Boulogne-Billancourt. He won the professional men's race at the British National Road Race Championships in 1991 and 1994, and was runner-up in 1992 and 1993. He competed for Britain in the 1996 Olympic road race and represented Scotland at the Commonwealth Games in 1986, 1990 and 1998. He also won the Grand Prix Midtbank in 1994. Since 2009, he has commentated on cycle racing for British Eurosport. He also joined the cycling team as general manager in 2011. Edvald Boasson Hagen (born 17 May 1987) is a Norwegian professional road racing cyclist, who rides for UCI ProTeam . He was ranked as no. 3 in the world by UCI as of 31 August 2009, when he was 22 years old. Qhubeka is a South African headquartered not-for-profit social mobility Charitable organization which donates bicycles to schoolchildren and key workers across South Africa and southern Africa. Qhubeka has donated over 105,000 of their unique bicycles to date, funded by several major global corporations, alongside personal donors worldwide. Qhubeka is currently a charity supported by the Tour de France since 2018, and will be supported by the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift from 2022. Gerald Michael Ciolek (born 19 September 1986) is a German former professional road bicycle racer, who rode professionally between 2005 and 2016. He currently works as a directeur sportif for UCI Continental team . Career Ciolek started racing at senior events in May 2005, with , where he had a very successful season. He won the German National Road Race Championships aged 18, the youngest ever rider to do so. Ciolek was able to overcome seasoned sprinters Erik Zabel and Robert Förster without help from any team mates, ending the twelve-year domination of T-Mobile. 2013 Milan–San Remo
The 2013 Milan–San Remo was the 104th running of the Milan–San Remo single-day cycling race. It was held on 17 March over a shortened distance of , and was the fourth race of the 2013 UCI World Tour season.
