Daniel Teklehaimanot Girmazion ( ti, ዳንኤል ተክለሃይማኖት ግርማጽዮን, ; born 10 November 1988) is a professional road racing cyclist from Eritrea, who last rode for UCI Professional Continental team . Career Teklehaimanot was a member of the UCI's World Cycling Centre training program before signing for the new Australian cycling team in 2012. Whilst at the World Cycling Centre he was diagnosed with tachycardia, which was corrected by surgery in early 2009. He returned to riding in May of that year and went on to finish sixth overall in that year's Tour de l'Avenir. In 2010 he rode as a trainee for . The same year, he won the African Championships in the road race, individual time trial and team time trial, at both senior and under-23 levels. 2015 Tour De France
The 2015 Tour de France was the 102nd edition of the Tour de France, one of cycling's Grand Tours. The -long race consisted of 21 stages, starting on 4 July in Utrecht, the Netherlands, and concluding on 26 July with the Champs-Élysées stage in Paris. The 2010–11 UCI Africa Tour was the seventh season of the UCI Africa Tour. The season began on 6 October 2010 with the Grand Prix Chantal Biya and ended on 24 July 2011 with the Tour of Eritrea. The Tour of Guangxi (officially known as the GREE-Tour of Guangxi for sponsorship purposes) is an annual professional cycling stage race held in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. The race consists of multi-stage and is part of the UCI World Tour. The event passes through a mix of metropolitan areas and stunning countryside scenery over six days of racing. In addition, the race also includes a women's race. The Tour of Guangxi, in China's southern autonomous Guangxi region bordering Vietnam, is the second World Tour race to be held in China, following in the footstep of the Tour of Beijing which was held between 2011 and 2014. The 2017 Giro d'Italia was the 100th edition of the Giro d'Italia, one of cycling's Grand Tour races. The race started on 5 May in Alghero on the island of Sardinia, and ended on 28 May in Milan. The 2016 Critérium du Dauphiné was the 68th edition of the Critérium du Dauphiné cycling stage race. The mountains classification is a secondary competition in the Tour de France, that started in 1933. It is given to the rider that gains the most points for reaching mountain summits first. Grand Tour (cycling)
In road bicycle racing, a Grand Tour is one of the three major European professional cycling stage races: Giro d'Italia, Tour de France, and Vuelta a España. Collectively they are termed the ''Grand Tours'', and all three races are similar in format, being three-week races with daily stages. They have a special status in the UCI regulations: more points for the UCI World Tour are distributed in Grand Tours than in other races, and they are the only stage races allowed to last longer than 14 days. All three races have a substantial history, with the Tour de France first held in 1903, Giro d'Italia first held in 1909 and the Vuelta a España first held in 1935. Vuelta A España
The Vuelta a España (; en, Tour of Spain) is an annual multi-stage bicycle race primarily held in Spain, while also occasionally making passes through nearby countries. Inspired by the success of the Tour de France and the Giro d'Italia, the race was first organised in 1935. The race was prevented from being run by the Spanish Civil War and World War II in the early years of its existence; however, the race has been held annually since 1955. As the Vuelta gained prestige and popularity the race was lengthened and its reach began to extend all around the globe. Since 1979, the event has been staged and managed by Unipublic, until in 2014, when the Amaury Sport Organisation acquired control. Since then, they have been working together.
