MNL48 (read as ''M.N.L. Forty-eight'') is a Filipino people, Filipino Teen idol, idol girl group based in Manila, Philippines. Formed in 2018, they are the fourth international AKB48 Group, sister group of AKB48, after Indonesia's JKT48, China's SNH48 (''former''), and Thailand's BNK48. The group is named after Manila, the capital of the Philippines. MNL48 is the only AKB48 sister group that debuted with exactly 48 members on its First Generation. PPOPCON
The Pinoy Pop Convention (PPOPCON) is a music fan convention and concert intended to celebrate Pinoy pop music and culture annually. With its first edition held on April 9 and 10, 2022, it is the first and biggest event of its kind in the Philippines. The event was announced to take place two years after on-ground concerts had been halted by the on-going COVID-19 pandemic. The April 10 concert was the biggest entertainment event to take place at the Smart Araneta Coliseum since 2020. AKB48 Team TP formerly known as TPE48, is a Taiwanese idol group and the sixth international sister group of AKB48, after Indonesia's JKT48, China's SNH48 (''former''), Thailand's BNK48, Philippines's MNL48, and China's AKB48 Team SH. The group is named after Taipei, the capital city of Taiwan. History 2011–2012: Creation On October 10, 2011, AKB48 announced the creation of TPE48, and will build the theater next year summer. At that time, AKS cooperated with Yoshimoto Kogyo and expected to start audition work in 2012. is Japanese idol group AKB48's third single, and the first major single released through DefSTAR Records, on 25 October 2006.
