M,n,k-game
An ''m'',''n'',''k''-game is an abstract board game in which two players take turns in placing a stone of their color on an ''m''-by-''n'' board, the winner being the player who first gets ''k'' stones of their own color in a row, horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.J. W. H. M. Uiterwijk and H. J van der Herik, ''The advantage of the initiative'', Information Sciences 122 (1) (2000) 43-58.Jaap van den Herik, Jos W.H.M. Uiterwijk, Jack van Rijswijck (2002). "Games solved: Now and in the future". Artificial Intelligence. Thus, tic-tac-toe is the 3,3,3-game and free-style gomoku is the 15,15,5-game. An ''m'',''n'',''k''-game is also called a ''k''-in-a-row game on an ''m''-by-''n'' board. The ''m'',''n'',''k''-games are mainly of mathematical interest. One seeks to find the game-theoretic value, the result of the game with perfect play. This is known as solving the game. Strategy stealing argument A standard strategy stealing argument from combinatorial game theory shows t ...

Marine Nationale Khmère
The Khmer National Navy ( km, កងទ័ពជើងទឹកជាតិខ្មែរ; french: Marine nationale khmère, MNK) was the naval component of the Khmer National Armed Forces (FANK), the official military of the Khmer Republic during the Cambodian Civil War between 1970 and 1975. History The Royal Khmer Navy (french: link=no, Marine royale khmère, MRK) was officially established on 1 March 1954, to provide limited patrolling of Cambodia's maritime coastline and territorial waters, monitoring the security of its main deep-water ports and major waterways. The MRK was formed with an initial strength of just 600 officers and enlisted men placed under the authority of Captain (french: link=no, Capitaine de vaisseau) Pierre Coedes, a naval officer of mixed French-Cambodian origin, who acted as Chief of Naval Operations (french: link=no, Chef des Opérations Navales). They manned a handful of World War II-vintage ex-French Navy vessels transferred to Cambodia at the en ...

Mandinka Language
The Mandinka language (; Ajami: ) or Mandingo, is a Mande language spoken by the Mandinka people of Guinea, northern Guinea-Bissau, the Casamance region of Senegal, and in The Gambia where it is one of the principal languages. Mandinka belongs to the Manding branch of Mande and is thus similar to Bambara and Maninka/Malinké but with only 5 instead of 7 vowels. In a majority of areas, it is a tonal language with two tones: low and high, although the particular variety spoken in the Gambia and Senegal borders on a pitch accent due to its proximity with non-tonal neighboring languages like Wolof. Phonology Mandinka is here represented by the variety spoken in Casamance. There is little dialectical diversity. Tone Mandinka has two tones, high and low. Unmodified nouns are either high tone on all syllables or low tone on all syllables. The definite suffix ''-o'' takes a low tone on high-tone nouns and a falling tone on low-tone nouns. It also assimilates any preceding sho ...

MAPK-interacting Kinase
The MAPK/ERK pathway (also known as the Ras-Raf-MEK-ERK pathway) is a chain of proteins in the cell that communicates a signal from a receptor on the surface of the cell to the DNA in the nucleus of the cell. The signal starts when a signaling molecule binds to the receptor on the cell surface and ends when the DNA in the nucleus expresses a protein and produces some change in the cell, such as cell division. The pathway includes many proteins, such as mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs), originally called extracellular signal-regulated kinases (ERKs), which communicate by adding phosphate groups to a neighboring protein (phosphorylating it), thereby acting as an "on" or "off" switch. When one of the proteins in the pathway is mutated, it can become stuck in the "on" or "off" position, a necessary step in the development of many cancers. In fact, components of the MAPK/ERK pathway were first discovered in cancer cells, and drugs that reverse the "on" or "off" switch are bei ...

Menkes Disease
Menkes disease (MNK), also known as Menkes syndrome, is an X-linked recessive disorder caused by mutations in genes coding for the copper-transport protein ATP7A, leading to copper deficiency. Characteristic findings include kinky hair, growth failure, and nervous system deterioration. Like all X-linked recessive conditions, Menkes disease is more common in males than in females. The disorder was first described by John Hans Menkes in 1962. Onset occurs during infancy, with incidence of about 1 in 100,000 to 250,000 newborns; affected infants often do not live past the age of three years, though there are rare cases in which less severe symptoms emerge later in childhood. Signs and symptoms Affected infants may be born prematurely. Signs and symptoms appear during infancy, typically after a two- to three-month period of normal or slightly slowed development that is followed by a loss of early developmental skills and subsequent developmental delay. Patients exhibit hypoto ...

Mashd N Kutcher
Mashd N Kutcher (sometimes abbreviated as MNK) are an Australian dance act and electronic band. Mashd N Kutcher are best known for their songs " Do It Now" and "My Sunshine", which samples Len's song " Steal My Sunshine". In 2020 they came to public attention in Australia after remixing a speech given by Premier of the state of Victoria, Daniel Andrews, reporting on an early outbreak of COVID-19 in the state. The resulting dance track, Get on the Beers, made it seem that the Premier's instructions to his citizens was to do their civic duty and "get on the beers". The original press conference saw Andrews warn Victorians that it was not appropriate to get on the beers, due to the greater risk of the spread of the coronavirus. The act has performed in sold-out tours in Australia, Asia, New Zealand, North America, South America and Europe. Their name is a pun on American actor Ashton Kutcher.
