MFM F.C.
Mountain of Fire and Miracles Football Club, or simply MFM FC, is a Lagos-based Nigerian professional football club that competes in the Nigerian Professional Football League. The club is wholly owned by the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, a Pentecostal Christian Organization. History In 2013, MFM FC took over the slot of Bolowatan F.C. in the Nigeria National League, the second-tier division in Nigerian football. The founder of Bolowotan FC, Toyin Gafaar, a Muslim, handed the slot to the church (MFM) to manage without collecting any money in return. On 31 August 2015, MFM FC was promoted to the Nigeria Premier League. The Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Football Club of Lagos won the maiden edition of The Church World Cup. Agege Stadium
Agege Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium, multi-purpose stadium in Lagos, Nigeria. It has a seating capacity of 4,000. It is the home ground of MFM F.C., Nigeria women's national under-17 football team and since 2018, of DreamStar F.C. Ladies. State Government of Lagos says that efforts are being made to complete their up-gradation of the stadium in February, as reported by the Nigerian news agency. Nigeria National League
The Nigerian National League (formerly known as ''National Division 1'') is the second tier of club football in Nigeria. History From 1997-2011, the league has been split into 1A for Northern teams and 1B for southern teams. The top two from each division are promoted to the Nigerian Premier League the next season. The exceptions were the 2005–06 and 2006-07 seasons where there were four divisions of eight teams each, with each division winner winning promotion. Up to four teams in each division are relegated each season to the Amateur First Division. The league was renamed 19 June 2008.
