M. M. Akbar
Meleveettil Muhammad Akbar (Malayalam: മേലേവീട്ടില് മുഹമ്മദ് അക്ബര്) is an Islamic preacher and religious scholar from India. Akbar used to be a schoolteacher in Malappuram, teaching physics, and was associated with the Mujahid Student Movement. Akbar never had any academic training as a Muslim scholar. He is the founder Director of '' Niche of Truth'', an Islamic dawa organization based in Kerala and the editor of ''Sneha Samvadam'' magazine published from Kochi, Kerala, India. Kerala Yukthivadi Sangham
Kerala Yukthivadi Sangham (KYS, ) is a rationalist organization based in Kerala, India. The organization says it stands for rationalism and humanism. It is the initiator of the umbrella organization for rationalism and humanism, Federation of Indian Rationalist Associations.The Rationalist Movement in Kerala had started with ''the Sahodara Sangham'' (Fraternity Forum), formed by K. Ayyappan on May 29, 1917 at Cherai, in Ernakulam. This fraternity forum propagated 'Mishra Bhojanam' (feasting without caste discrimination), which was unthinkable as well as very revolutionary at the time. Parappanangadi, , is a major town and a municipality in Tirurangadi taluk of Malappuram district, Kerala, India. It is a coastal town located close to the Arabian sea.
