M-Dot
Michael Januario (born January 13, 1983) better known by his stage name M-Dot is an American rapper and producer. Before becoming a rap musician, Januario played college basketball at BHCC, MCLA and Fitchburg State. Career Born in Revere, Massachusetts, M-Dot initially gained expanded exposure when touring Switzerland as the opener for Lawrence rapper Krumb Snatcha ( Gang Starr Foundation) in the mid 2000s. Frequent collaborations with respected rap groups, and consistently touring overseas, have built M-Dot's audience. M-Dot is known for a high level of productivity and his multi-syllable rhyme schemes, having attained a bachelor's degree in English. Cary Guy (born December 13, 1961), better known as Big Shug, is an American rapper from Boston, Massachusetts, a co-founder of Gang Starr and a member of the Gang Starr Foundation collective. Tony Louis Cottrell (born May 5, 1976), better known as Hi-Tek, is an American rapper and music producer from Cincinnati, Ohio. He is best known for his work with Talib Kweli. His father is singer Willie Cottrell of the Willie Cottrell Band, whom Hi-Tek featured on his second album, '' Hi-Teknology 2''. Career 1996–2000 Hi-Tek grew up in the West End, Cincinnati. Okayplayer is an online hip-hop and alternative music website and community, described by ''Rolling Stone'' as a "tastemaker" and "an antidote to dull promotional Web sites used by most artists".
