M-14 Motorway (Pakistan)
The M-14 Motorway, also known as the Islamabad–Dera Ismail Khan Motorway () and the Hakla–Yarik Motorway, is a four-lane North-South motorway in Pakistan. The motorway is a part of the Western Alignment of the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor, and offers high speed road connections between the Islamabad-Rawalpindi metropolitan area, and the southern parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province around Dera Ismail Khan. The motorway was originally planned to open at the end of 2018, but due to delays, was inaugurated on 5 January 2022. Route The groundbreaking ceremony took place in May 2016. The four-lane controlled access motorway extends from the Hakla Interchange on the M-1 Motorway, near Fateh Jang in Punjab, to Dera Ismail Khan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Zhob (; ) or Zhobak (), formerly known as Appozai or Fort Sandeman, is a city and district capital of Zhob District in Balochistan province of Pakistan. N-50 National Highway
The National Highway 50 () or the N-50 is one of Pakistan National Highway running from city of D.I.Khan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to the town of Kuchlak near Quetta via Zhob in Baluchistan, Pakistan. Its total length is 531 km divided into 143 km in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the remaining 388 km in the Baluchistan, Pakistan. It is maintained and operated by Pakistan's National Highway Authority. M1 Motorway (Pakistan)
The M-1 motorway or the Islamabad–Peshawar Motorway ( ur, ) is an east–west motorway in Pakistan, connecting Peshawar to Islamabad–Rawalpindi. The motorway was constructed during President Pervez Musharraf's rule at a cost of Rs. 13 billion, and was opened in October 2007. It spans , with in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and in Punjab. History Work on M-1 was started during Nawaz Sharif's tenure in 1997, and the contract was awarded to Turkish company Bayindar. However, the work stopped after his government was dismissed by Army chief Gen.Pervez Musharraf in october 1999. Progress remained very slow and not much work was done between 1999 and 2003.
