Lyzanxia
Lyzanxia is a French metal group that combine thrash metal with elements of death metal. Biography Lyzanxia were formed in 1996 by the Potvin brothers. They quickly recorded their first demo, RIP My Skin, it displayed the band's potential. In 1997 the band produced an 11-song demo entitled Lullaby that introduced them to the press and underground scene. They then started to play with groups such as Edge of Sanity, Disfear, Loudblast and No Return. For their first album: Eden, they recruited one of the better known producers in European metal: Fredrik Nordström. The album was released in 2000 to critical acclaim and good reviews (6/6 ''Hard Rock'': France, 84/100 ''Burrn!'': Japan). Two videos were released to promote the album: "Bewitched" and "Dream Feeder". In 2002 Lyzanxia recorded their second album, ''Mindcrimes''. Fredrik Nordström
Björn Tom Fredrik Nordström (born 5 January 1967) is a Swedish musician and record producer, best known as the guitarist of heavy metal band Dream Evil. Nordström is one of the leading melodic death metal and power metal producers in Sweden and has worked with some of said genres' top acts, including At the Gates, Arch Enemy, Nightrage, Dark Tranquillity, In Flames, Soilwork, Opeth, and Powerwolf. Fascinated by technology from a young age, Nordström opened a small recording studio in Gothenburg, mainly to record his own music. The studio evolved into Studio Fredman, one of the leading Swedish recording studios where he works with his employee Henrik Udd. In 1999, Nordström formed the heavy metal band Dream Evil to perform his own music, and as of 2010, Dream Evil has released five albums, one live DVD/CD set, and two EPs. Shaman (band)
Shaman is a Brazilian progressive and power metal band assembled in 2000 by three musicians who left the band Angra – Andre Matos, Luis Mariutti and Ricardo Confessori. The band was completed with guitar player Hugo Mariutti (Luis' younger brother – both of them also play in another band called Henceforth). Shaman changed its name to Shaaman due to legal reasons, but the issue was solved and they renamed it back to Shaman. In October 2006, Andre Matos officially left the band along with the Mariutti brothers. Confessori reformed the band with a new line-up featuring Thiago Bianchi on vocals, Léo Mancini on guitars, Fernando Quesada on bass and Junior Carelli on keyboards. Soilwork is a Swedish melodic death metal band from Helsingborg. They are signed to Nuclear Blast. Formed in late 1995 by Björn Strid and Peter Wichers, originally under the name ''Inferior Breed'', the band changed their name in late 1996 to Soilwork (meaning "working from the ground up"). Exit Ten was an English post-hardcore/rock band with metal influences. Their debut album, ''Remember the Day'', was released in 2008. Behemoth (band)
Behemoth is a Polish extreme metal band from Gdańsk, formed in 1991. They are considered to have played an important role in establishing the Polish extreme metal underground. Until the late 1990s, the band played a traditional black metal style with heathen lyrical content, but soon changed to that of occult and thelemic themes written by their lead vocalist Nergal and Krzysztof Azarewicz.
