Luíz Antônio Dos Santos
Luíz Antônio dos Santos (6 September 1964 – 6 November 2021) was a Brazilian long-distance runner who specialized in the marathon. Born in Volta Redonda, Rio de Janeiro, he was a World Championships bronze medalist and a 1996 Olympian. He twice won the Chicago Marathon and also won the Fukuoka Marathon. Career Santos's first international appearances came in cross country running. He was part of the Brazilian team at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships in 1991 and 1993, as well as being in the top eight at the South American Cross Country Championships in 1992, 1993 and 1994, sharing in the team gold at the latter two editions. He ran four times at the IAAF World Half Marathon Championships (1993, 1994, 1999, 2001) with his best finish being 22nd in 1994.Luiz-Antonio dosSantos |

Gyeongju ( ko, 경주, ), historically known as ''Seorabeol'' ( ko, 서라벌, ), is a coastal city in the far southeastern corner of North Gyeongsang Province in South Korea. Tokyo International Marathon
The Tokyo International Marathon was a marathon for male elite runners held in Tokyo, Japan, from 1980 until 2006. It actually consisted of two marathons - the ''Tokyo International Marathon'' which took place on even years, and ''Tokyo-New York Friendship International Marathon'' which took place on odd years. In the inaugural year, 1981, both marathons took place. However, because it was not possible to support two marathons a month apart in the same city, from 1982, the alternating format went into effect. The events were replaced in 2007 by the Tokyo Marathon, a race which is open to general runners of both sexes. 1997 World Championships In Athletics
The 6th World Championships in Athletics, under the auspices of the International Amateur Athletic Federation, were held at the Olympic Stadium, Athens, Greece between August 1 and August 10, 1997. In this event participated 1882 athletes from 198 participant nations. Athens used the successful organization of the World Championships the next month during the IOC Session in Lausanne during its campaign to host the 2004 Summer Olympics as proof positive of Athens' and Greece's ability and readiness to organize large-scale, international sporting events.
