Guillemette Du Luys
Guillemette du Luys ( fl. 1479), was a French surgeon in service of king Louis XI of France. She was one of two women to have served as royal physicians in France. She is documented as a surgeon in service of the king in the year of 1479. She is described as in charge of the "lower stews" (''estuver... par dessoubs''), and may have been active as a phlebotomist.Monica H. Jules Bernard Luys
Jules Bernard Luys (17 August 1828 – 21 August 1897) was a French neurologist who made important contributions to the fields of neuroanatomy and neuropsychiatry. Born in Paris on 17 August 1828 he became a doctor of medicine in 1857 and conducted extensive research on the anatomy, pathology and functions of the central nervous system. In 1865 he published a treatise entitled ''Studies on the Structure, Functions and Diseases of the Cerebro-spinal System'', this book was accompanied by a hand-drawn three-dimensional atlas of the brain. It was within this book that Luys provided the first description of the structure that is today called the subthalamic nucleus. Luys termed this nucleus the ''bandelette accessoire des olives supérieures'' (accessory band of the superior olives) and concluded that it was a centre for the dispersion of cerebellar influence upon the striatum. Luys Ycart
Luys Ycart (Floruit, fl. 1396–1433), or Lluís Icart () in modern orthography, was a Catalan people, Catalan poet. He left behind fourteen lyric poems and a long poem called ''Consolació i Avís d'amor'' ("Consolation and Advice of Love"). All of his poetry was produced before the composition of the chansonnier Cançoner Vega-Aguiló, Vega-Aguiló (1420–30), into which it was copied soon after it was written. Life Luys was a minor nobleman, the son of Pere Ycart and Johanna de Subirats from Lleida. As early as 1396 he had a relationship with a woman known as Lionor de Pau. He was Accolade, dubbed a knight in 1429 or 1430. He married a woman named Blanquina in an unknown year, but his four children were still young in 1433. Luys participated in the Lleidan feuds that dominated the local situation in the 1420s and 1430s. Luys D'Averçó
Luys d'Averçó or Luis de Aversó (''c''.1350–1412x15) was a Catalan politician, naval financier, and man of letters. His ''magnum opus'', the ''Torcimany'', is one of the most important medieval Catalan-language grammars to modern historians. His name is spelled Lluís d'Averçó or d'Aversó in modern orthography. Averçó was born to a family of naval shipowners in Barcelona in the middle of the fourteenth century. He continued in the family business and profited from it financially all his life. He appears to be well-trained in law, for he participated in the municipal government of Barcelona throughout his life, being a councillor (''conseller'') in 1395 and again in 1403. During the interregnum of 1410–12 he was charged by the Parliament of Catalonia with arbitrating some disputes amongst the citizens of Lleida. The Bright Alliance ( hy, «Լույս» դաշինք, ԼՈՒՅՍ; ''LUYS Dashink, LUYS'') was a liberal political alliance of two political parties in Armenia: the Bright Armenia party and Republic party. It was formed on 28 August 2018, before the 2018 Yerevan City Council election.
