Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts or LAFA is an art school in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, China. Introduction Established in 1938, Luxun Academy of Fine Art (LAFA) is founded and primarily focusing on education of talents in painting, sculpture and photography, as well as fashion garment, industrial product design and environmental architect. With its campus located in Shenyang, a prime metropolitan city in north east of China, LAFA has its second campus established at a beach side area in the municipal of Dalian, a harbor city in the same province of LAFA’s main campus. Chen Zi
Chen Zi (陈紫, Huiyang, 1919–1999) was a Chinese composer. Wanxin Zhang
Wanxin Zhang (born 1961) is a Chinese sculpturer who is based out of San Francisco. Zhang's work is in the Smithsonian American Art Museum Collections. Zhang was born in Changchun, China in 1961. Zhang attended Lu Xun Academy of Fine Art and was a part of the first generation to get a formal art education after the cultural revolution. Zhang's work is inspired by Chinese culture, such as Chinese opera, and his experience living in the United States. Zhang left China in 1992 and moved to California, where he started working at the Artworks Foundry in Berkeley. The Artworks Foundry's founder Peter Voulkos and artist Robert Arneson have also been cited as influences. Zhang works as an instructor at the San Francisco Art Institute. Luo Yang ( zh, 罗洋; born 1984) is a Chinese photographer, known for her photographs of women. Lin Fei Fei (Chinese: 林斐斐; born circa 1988) is a Chinese-born muralist based in Sacramento, California. She was named one of 10 “Contemporary Chinese Artists of the Future” by the Wang Shikuo Art Foundation in 2016 and has had her work displayed internationally. Wang Bing (; born 1967) is a Chinese director, often referred to as one of the foremost figures in documentary film-making. Wang is the founder of his own production company, Wang Bing Studios, which produces most of his films. Liu Hulan (opera)
''Liu Hulan'' (刘胡兰) is a 1954 Chinese-language western-style opera by Chen Zi. It is based on the death of a 14-year-old communist party girl Liu Hulan, who was elevated into a revolutionary martyr. Part of the original opera was composed in 1949, only 2 years after her death, and revised into a full-scale opera in 1954. Several other composers such as Ge Guangrui also contributed to Chen's opera.
