Loxford Park Speedway
The Loxford Park Speedway is a motorcycle speedway track located in the town of Loxford near in New South Wales (NSW). It is home to the Kurri Kurri Speedway Club and the Kurri Cobras. History Construction of the track commenced in 2008 with the speedway opening later that year giving NSW a second full-time motorcycle speedway (the other being the Gosford Speedway, though there are also other tracks including the Nepean Speedway in north west Sydney and the rarely used Newcastle Showgrounds). Loxford park also has a junior track built on the infield of the main track with the junior track joining onto the main straight and sharing the start-finish line. Loxford Park held its first championship meeting in 2010/11 when it hosted the New South Wales Solo Championship which saw reigning Australian Champion Chris Holder win his 5th NSW Championship in six years. 2015 Australian Individual Speedway Championship
The 2015 Individual Speedway Australian Championship is a Motorcycle speedway competition organised by Motorcycling Australia (MA) for the Australian Solo Championship. The four round series were held between 3 January and 10 January. In a change to the series points system, riders will score points from the "A" Finals which will count towards their overall series total. A Final points are: 4 points (1st), 3 points (2nd), 2 points (3rd) and 1 point (4th). The rounds were held at the Gillman Speedway in Adelaide on 3 January, Olympic Park Speedway in Mildura on 5 January, Undera Park Speedway in Undera on 7 January, with the fourth and final round to be held at the Loxford Park Speedway in Kurri Kurri on 10 January. Max Fricke (born 29 March 1996) is an Australian speedway rider. He is a World team champion, twice Australian champion and four times Australian Under-21 Champion. Samuel Peter Masters (born 23 May 1991) is an Australian motorcycle speedway rider who won the Premier League Riders' Championship in 2011. Masters is an Australian Champion having won the Championship in January 2017. Career Masters was born in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. The 2017 Individual Speedway Australian Championship is a Motorcycle speedway competition organised by Motorcycling Australia (MA) for the Australian Solo Championship. The four round series will be held between 4 January and 14 January. The rounds are scheduled for Gillman Speedway in Adelaide on 4 January, Olympic Park Speedway in Mildura on 7 January, Undera Park Speedway in Undera on 11 January, with the fourth and final round to be held at the Loxford Park Speedway in Kurri Kurri on 14 January. Brady Kurtz
Brady Kurtz (born 27 September 1996) is an Australian speedway rider. Biography Born in Cowra, New South Wales, Kurtz isn't the only racer in his family. Brady's older brother Todd Kurtz is a fellow Speedway rider, who has ridden for the Plymouth Devils amongst other teams in the UK. Career Brady got his first break into British Speedway riding in the Premier League with the Somerset Rebels. After 2 impressive years with the Rebels, Kurtz was named in the Poole Pirates team to compete in the 2016 Elite League. This news didn't come as a surprise, as Kurtz had already been the subject of interest from Poole for some time. The 2014 Individual Speedway Australian Championship was a Motorcycle speedway competition organised by Motorcycling Australia for the Australian Solo Championship. The three final rounds took place between 4 January and 11 January. The championship was won by 2012 World Champion Chris Holder who won his 5th Australian title. Troy Batchelor
Troy Matthew Batchelor (born 29 August 1987) is an Australian speedway rider. Career Australia Born in Brisbane, Queensland, Troy Batchelor enjoyed his first success when he won the 2001 Queensland and New South Wales Under-16 championships and followed this up by winning the 2003 Australian Under-16 Championship at the Bibra Lake Speedway in Perth. After graduating to the senior ranks following his 16th birthday, Batchelor won the Queensland State Championship in 2007 before he moved to Adelaide in South Australia where he has won the South Australian Championship at the Gillman Speedway five times (2008-2011, 2013). He currently sits all time second on the SA title winners list behind joint record holders John Boulger and the 1951 and 1952 World Champion Jack Young. Speedway World Championship
The World Championship of Speedway is an international competition between the highest-ranked motorcycle speedway riders of the world, run under the auspices of the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM). The first official championships were held in 1936. Today, this official FIM championship is organised as a series of Speedway Grand Prix events, where points are awarded according to performance in the event and tallied up at the end of each season. However, up to 1994, it was run as a single-night event after qualifying rounds during the season, leading up to a big final of 20 heats, where points were awarded according to riders' heat placings and then tallied up at the end.
