Love Outside Andromeda
Love Outside Andromeda was an indie rock band from Melbourne, Australia. The band was formed in 2000 as Andromeda, and released their debut EP, ''Umabel'', in 2001. The title track from their second EP, ''Something White and Sigmund'', appeared on the Triple J Hottest 100 2003 at No. 65. The band changed their name to Love Outside Andromeda to avoid confusion with the Swedish band of the same name. The band have since released two studio albums; '' Love Outside Andromeda'' (2004) and '' Longing Was a Safe Place to Hide'' (2006), both on Shock records Shock Records (now part of Shock Entertainment) is an Australian independent record label. ''Longing Was a Safe Place to Hide'' is the second studio album released by Australian guitar pop, rock band, Love Outside Andromeda on 18 September 2006. It peaked at No. 8 on the ARIA Hitseekers Albums chart. Overall, it is significantly mellower than their self-titled debut, distancing itself from some of the more frantic songs. Lead single, "Bound by Hurt Dissolved", received radio play in late 2005, and later singles, "Measuring Tape" and "Sparrow", began to receive play in July to August 2006, closer to the album's appearance. Its title is a lyric from the fourth track, "A Room Full of People". The group effectively disbanded in December 2006, with an announcement of the hiatus on their website, "we've decided it's time to take a serious break. Effective immediately." Andromeda (Swedish Band)
Andromeda is a progressive metal band from Sweden formed in 1999. They are currently signed to Massacre Records, Replica Records and Avalon/Marquee. The style emphasizes on strong keyboards and technical drumming. The band is also well known for the vocals of David Fremberg. They have recorded five albums as of 2011, as well as a live DVD. There are two versions of their first album, ''Extension of the Wish''. The original recording features their first vocalist Lawrence Mackrory. The second version has all of the original instrument tracks, but with their replacement vocalist David Fremberg. The most recent album ''Manifest Tyranny'' was released in 2011.
