Love Island (2015 TV Series, Series 9)
The ninth series of '' Love Island'' began broadcasting on 16 January 2023 to 13 March 2023 on ITV2. It is the second winter edition of the series and the first to be presented by Maya Jama, who took over from Laura Whitmore. Iain Stirling returned to narrate the series. On 13 March 2023, the series was won by Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan with 43.75% of the final vote, becoming the first couple formed during the Casa Amor twist to win the series. Lana Jenkins and Ron Hall finished as runners-up. Production In June 2022, prior to the conclusion of the previous series, it was confirmed that the show would return for two series to be broadcast in 2023, with ITV announcing that the show would air a winter edition for the first time since 2020, and as in the sixth series, the ninth series would be filmed in Cape Town, South Africa. The third series of '' Love Island'' began on 5 June 2017 hosted by Caroline Flack on ITV2. The series concluded on 24 July 2017. It is the third from the current revived series, but fifth overall. The series was narrated by Iain Stirling. As well as the series airing every night of the week with the Saturday episode being used as a weekly catch-up entitled ''Love Island: The Weekly Hot List'', a new spin-off was confirmed, ''Love Island: Aftersun'' hosted by Flack with a studio audience and celebrity guests on Sunday nights after the main show. ''Love Island Australia'' is an Australian dating reality show based on the international '' Love Island'' franchise. Following the premise of other versions of the ''Love Island'' format, the show features a group of single contestants, known as "islanders" who live together in a luxury villa that is isolated from the outside world, in an attempt to find love. Throughout the series, the contestants "couple up" to avoid being dumped from the villa. Additionally, Australia will vote for their favourite islanders to stay in the villa.
