''Love Hurts'' is the twentieth studio album by American singer and actress Cher, released on June 18, 1991, by Geffen Records. The album was her final studio album with the record company after a 4-year recording contract. The RIAA certified it Gold on August 27, 1991. The lead single from the album was, "Love and Understanding" and the follow-up singles were "Save Up All Your Tears", "Love Hurts", " Could've Been You" and " When Lovers Become Strangers". It peaked at number 48 on the ''Billboard'' Top 200 albums chart with the sales of 19,000 copies. In November 2011, '' Billboard'' stated that ''Love Hurts'' had sold 600,000 copies in the US. "Save Up All Your Tears" is a song written by Desmond Child and Diane Warren, and originally released by Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler. The song was subsequently covered by other artists including Robin Beck, Cher, Freda Payne and Bonfire. The original Bonnie Tyler version of the song was featured on the album called ''Notes From America'' in the United States, Canada and Brazil and entitled '' Hide Your Heart'' throughout the rest of the world. Robin Beck is an American singer. She topped the singles chart in the United Kingdom in 1988, and Austria, Germany, Norway, Netherlands and Switzerland in 1989, with her single " First Time", which had come to the public's attention via its use in a Coca-Cola commercial. Other well-known songs of hers are "Save Up All Your Tears", "In My Heart to Stay", "Tears in the Rain" and "Close to You". Gaynor Sullivan (née Hopkins; born 8 June 1951), known professionally as Bonnie Tyler, is a Welsh singer who is known for her distinctive husky voice. Richie Sambora
Richard Stephen Sambora (born July 11, 1959) is an American rock guitarist, singer, songwriter and producer, best known as the lead guitarist of the rock band Bon Jovi from 1983 to 2013. He and lead singer Jon Bon Jovi formed the main songwriting unit for the band. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) is a trade organization that represents the music recording industry in the United States.
