Loul
The title Loul (or Lul) is an ancient royal title Traditional rank amongst European royalty, peers, and nobility is rooted in Late Antiquity and the Middle Ages. Although they vary over time and among geographic regions (for example, one region's prince might be equal to another's grand duke ... used in the pre-colonial Serer kingdoms, such as the Kingdom of Sine, the Kingdom of Saloum and formerly the Kingdom of Baol. These three pre-colonial kingdoms are now part of independent Senegal. The ''Loul'' was the third in line to the throne after the Buumi and Thilas. Loul Sessène
Loul Sessène (or Loul Séssène) is a village in Senegal located in the Sine-Saloum area, in the West of the country. Administration It is the chef-lieu of the rural community of Loul Sessène, located in the Fimela Arrondissement, of the Fatick Department and the Region of Fatick. History Loul Sessène is located in the territory of the former Kingdom of Sine. In pre-colonial times, the ''Loul'' – a Serer title of nobility – resided in Loul Sessène, founded by the Sène family.
