Louise Shackelton
David Wright Miliband (born 15 July 1965) is the president and chief executive officer (CEO) of the International Rescue Committee and a former Labour Party (UK), British Labour Party politician. He was the Foreign Secretary from 2007 to 2010 and the Member of Parliament (United Kingdom), Member of Parliament (MP) for South Shields (UK Parliament constituency), South Shields from 2001 United Kingdom general election, 2001 to 2013 South Shields by-election, 2013. He and his brother, Ed Miliband, were the first siblings to sit in the UK Cabinet, Cabinet simultaneously since Edward Stanley, Lord Stanley (died 1938), Lord Edward and Oliver Stanley in 1938. He was a candidate for 2010 Labour Party leadership election (UK), Labour Party leadership in 2010, following the departure of Gordon Brown, but was defeated by his brother and subsequently left politics.
