Lorna Milne
Lorna Ann Milne (December 13, 1934 – March 1, 2023) was Canadian politician who served as a senator from 1995 to 2009. Early life and career Milne was the daughter of former Mayor of Toronto and Co-operative Commonwealth Federation (CCF) Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) William Dennison and granddaughter of Isaac Bainbridge, early labour organizer and pacifist. Her husband, William Ross Milne, served as a Liberal federal Member of Parliament in the 1970s, and is a cousin of the first female member of Parliament Agnes MacPhail. After graduation, Milne lectured in the Department of Physics at the University of Guelph. In the 1960s, after moving to Brampton, she became a political and community activist, serving as a school trustee, first on the Brampton School Board (1964–68) and then as Vice Chair of the Peel County Board of Education (1964–72). Kasshabog Lake (Ontario)
Kasshabog Lake is a small lake in Havelock-Belmont-Methuen, Peterborough County, in central Ontario, Canada. It is in the Great Lakes Basin, and is home to a cottage community, including game fishing, a marina and lodges. Geography Kasshabog Lake is located north of the community of Havelock. The lake receives flow from several smaller tributary lakes. The major inflow at the north and outflow at the south is the North River, which flows to Belmont Lake, and then via the Crowe River and Trent River to Lake Ontario. The Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) is a conservation authority in southern Ontario, Canada. It owns about of land in the Toronto region, and it employs more than 400 full-time employees and coordinates more than 3,000 volunteers each year. TRCA's area of jurisdiction is watershed-based and includes 3,467 square kilometers – 2,506 on land and 961 water-based in Lake Ontario. The Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA) is a museum, art gallery, and archives for the Regional Municipality of Peel and are located in Brampton, Ontario, Canada.
