''Loner'' is the third studio album by American singer-songwriter Caroline Rose. Recorded at Panoramic Studios in Bolinas, California, it was released on February 23, 2018 by New West Records. Upon its release, the album drew universal acclaim from music critics. Background Rose first gained prominence in 2013 and 2014, when she released her first two albums: ''America Religious'' and ''I Will Not Be Afraid''. Both records were acoustic and classified as Americana, discussing topics including farmers’ unhappiness; she had written most of the songs in 2012, when she travelled across America in her van. After releasing two records of folk and country-inspired music, she released a pop-rock album ''Loner'' in 2018. Her most recent album, ''Superstar'', was released on March 6, 2020. Early life Born in 1989 in Long Island, Rose grew up in Center Moriches, New York. The daughter of two artists, Rose began writing songs and poems at age 13. Rough Trade (shops)
Rough Trade is a group of independent record shops in the United Kingdom and the United States with headquarters in London. The first Rough Trade shop was opened in 1976 by Geoff Travis in the Ladbroke Grove district of West London. Travis reportedly took the name from the Canadian art punk/ new wave band Rough Trade. In 1978, the shop spawned Rough Trade Records, which became the label of bands from The Smiths to The Libertines. In 1982, the two separated and the shop remains an independent entity from the label, although links between the two are strong. At the same time, the shop moved from its original location on Kensington Park Road round the corner to Talbot Road. In 1988, a shop opened in Neal's Yard, Covent Garden. Metacritic is a website that review aggregator, aggregates reviews of films, TV shows, music albums, video games and formerly, books. For each product, the scores from each review are averaged (a weighted arithmetic mean, weighted average). Metacritic was created by Jason Dietz, Marc Doyle, and Julie Doyle Roberts in 1999. The site provides an excerpt from each review and hyperlinks to its source. A color of green, yellow or red summarizes the critics' recommendations. It is regarded as the foremost online review aggregation site for the video game industry. Metacritic's scoring converts each review into a percentage, either mathematically from the mark given, or what the site decides subjectively from a qualitative review.
