Llanwenog
Llanwenog is both a village and a community in Ceredigion, Wales. In 2011 the population of Llanwenog was 1,364, of whom 57.0% were able to speak Welsh. The community includes the villages of Alltyblacca, Gorsgoch, Cwmsychbant, Cwrtnewydd Highmead, Aber, Drefach and Rhuddlan. The Llanwenog sheep is a breed of domestic sheep originating in Wales, which was developed in the 19th century. Llanwenog Sheep
The Llanwenog is a breed of domestic sheep originating in Wales. It was developed in the 19th century from the (now extinct) Llanllwni, the Shropshire (sheep), Shropshire, Welsh Mountain sheep, Welsh Mountain, and Clun Forest (sheep), Clun Forest breeds. The Llanwenog's native locale is the Teifi Valley, in western Wales, but it has since spread into other areas. The breed association was formed in 1957. Llanwenogs have black faces and medium-length wool. They have a docile temperament and are known for their profligacy in lambing. The breed has a very placid temperament, is easily handled, easily contained and is well suited to stress free inwintering if necessary. Cwmsychbant
Cwmsychbant is a small village in the Community (Wales), community of Llanwenog, Ceredigion, Wales, on the A475 road. Cwmsychbant is represented in the Senedd Cymru – Welsh Parliament, Senedd by Elin Jones (Plaid Cymru) and the Member of Parliament is Ben Lake (Plaid Cymru). Unitarian chapel The Capel-y-Cwm Unitarian chapel was built in 1906. Coflein, the online database of the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales, describes it as being in the "simple round-headed style of the gable entry type". The gable front is painted stucco. It was the last Unitarian chapel to be built in South Wales to fill a need for the congregation who had previously been meeting in a storeroom above a shop. The chapel is in a rural setting and has a cemetery beside it. Alltyblacca
Alltyblaca is a village in the Welsh county of Ceredigion, Mid-West Wales, located on the road between Llanybydder and Llanwnnen. The chapel There has been a chapel in the village since 1740. This was the sister chapel to the building at Llwynrhydowen and at different times adopted the stances of the Arminian, Arian and later the Unitarian theologies. In the nineteenth century, this part of West Wales became known as the ''Smotyn du'' (Black spot) because of the predominance of Unitarianism in the area, and Alltyblacca was an important regional centre. The present building was erected in 1837 and restored in 1892. It is built in the same style as the Unitarian chapels at Rhydygwin, near Felinfach, and Cribyn. The building has a central arched window, with a pair of arched doors at either side and square windows opening above. Gorsgoch
Gorsgoch () is a small rural village located on the B4338 road near Lampeter in the county of Ceredigion, Wales. The town of Lampeter is 7 miles away and the town of New Quay is 15 miles away "''Cors''" (consonant mutation#Celtic languages, mutated to ''Gors'') is Welsh language, Welsh for "marsh" or "bog", and "''goch''" is the mutated form of "''coch''" meaning "red": so the name literally translated means "Red Bog". This upland bog is located alongside the main road that leads through the village. The village is developing at a fast rate. Evan James Williams
Evan James Williams FRS (8 June 1903 – 29 September 1945) was a Welsh experimental physicist who worked in a number of fields with some of the most notable physicists of his day, including Patrick Blackett, Lawrence Bragg, Ernest Rutherford and Niels Bohr. Williams earned a degree at Swansea University, doctorates at Manchester and Cambridge universities and a professorship at Aberystwyth University. He was highly regarded by his colleagues, and made a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1939. He died of cancer at the age of 42. Early life Williams was born in the Ceredigion village of Cwmsychbant to stonemason James and Elizabeth (née Lloyd) Williams. He attended Llanwenog Primary School, then Llandysul School, where he was a close friend of Evan Tom Davies and, like Davies, excelled in mathematics. Ceredigion

Community (Wales)
A community ( cy, cymuned) is a division of land in Wales that forms the lowest tier of local government in Wales. Welsh communities are analogous to civil parishes in England.
