Liu Xin (gymnast)
Liu Xin (born 12 October 1999) is a Chinese rhythmic gymnast. She competed in the group all-around at the 2020 Olympic Games where the Chinese group finished fourth. Career Liu competed with the junior Chinese group at the 2014 Pacific Rim Championships in Richmond, British Columbia, and they won the gold medal in the all-around. Liu competed at the 2018 World Championships in Sofia alongside Ding Ziyi, Hu Yuhui, Huang Zhangjiayang, and Xu Yanshu. They finished eleventh in the group all-around and did not qualify for either event final. Liu was selected to compete for the Chinese group at the 2019 World Championships alongside Hao Ting, Hu Yuhui, Guo Qiqi, Huang Zhangjiayang, and Xu Yanshu. The 2021 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships were held from 27 to 31 October 2021 in Kitakyushu, Japan. Dina Averina broke the record for the most medals won at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships with 22 total medals and also became the first gymnast to win four World all-around titles. Alina Harnasko won the gold medal in the ribbon, becoming the first non-Russian individual World Champion since 2013 and the first Belarusian individual World Champion since 1996. Career Hao began ballet when she was six years old but switched to rhythmic gymnastics when she was eight years old. 2019 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships
The 2019 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships was held in Baku, Azerbaijan from 16 September to 22 September 2019. The competition took place at the National Gymnastics Arena and served as a qualifier to the 2020 Olympic Games. There were Olympic berths awarded to 16 individuals and 5 groups. There were 301 participating athletes from 61 countries. Dina Averina from Russia won gold medals in ball, clubs, and ribbon, and Ekaterina Selezneva won the hoop title. Averina, Selezneva and Arina Averina won Russia's tenth consecutive World team title. In the all-around finals, Dina Averina won her third consecutive World all-around title, becoming the fifth rhythmic gymnast to do so.
