Assiniboine Park Zoo
Assiniboine Park Zoo is an zoo at the west end of Assiniboine Park in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. It has been best known for decades for its polar bear exhibit, of which the old enclosure was replaced in 2013 with Journey to Churchill. Established in 1904, it is managed by the Assiniboine Park Conservancy, and accredited by the Canadian Association of Zoos and Aquariums (CAZA) and the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). Bird Kingdom
Bird Kingdom is an aviary in the tourist district of Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. Opened in May 2003, it is the largest free flying indoor aviary in the world. The attraction encompasses approximately , and houses over 350 birds, the majority of which come from Australia, South America, and Africa. It is also home to mammals, reptiles and amphibians which are part of educational programs. Bird Kingdom has been voted a top family attraction in Niagara Falls and was inducted into the Trip Advisor Hall of Fame in 2016. African Lion Safari
African Lion Safari is a family-owned safari park in Southern Ontario, Canada, straddling the cities of Hamilton and Cambridge, located west of Toronto. Guests may tour seven game reserves, with a total area of about , on tour buses or in visitors' own vehicles, where animals roam freely in contained areas. Shubenacadie () is a village located in Hants County, in central Nova Scotia, Canada. As of 2021, the population was 411. The name for the Mi'kmaw territory in which present-day Shubenacadie is located and the origin of its name is the Mi'kmaw word ''Sipekne'katik'', which "place abounding in groundnuts" or "place where the wapato grows." Historically, the Sipekne'katik region was a large stretch of territory that covered central Nova Scotia. Shubenacadie Wildlife Park
The Shubenacadie Provincial Wildlife Park is part of Nova Scotia's Provincial Park System. It is a wildlife park in Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia, Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia, Canada. Aylesford, since its formation, has always been a farming community. It is situated in western Kings County in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia, Canada. Oaklawn Farm Zoo
The Oaklawn Farm Zoo was a zoo located in Millville, Nova Scotia, Canada, just south of the village of Aylesford. It was opened in 1984, and is family-owned and operated by Ron and Gail Rogerson. The zoo boasted the largest display of Big Cats and Primates in Eastern Canada. The zoo is in a rural setting in Nova Scotia's Annapolis Valley, and includes a wide diversity of mammals, birds and reptiles. Before closing it was Nova Scotia's largest zoo, Oaklawn has a large variety of endangered and threatened species of exotic, native and domestic breeds of animals. Children can feed corn to some of the animals (notably the deer and goats) and the zoo has a restaurant and gift shop. Feeding time for the big cats and bears is a popular zoo attraction.
