This is a list of universities in Malaysia. Universities in Malaysia are generally categorised as public and private universities. Private universities include locally established universities and campuses of foreign universities. The list below is classified by the two main categories, sequentially ordered by their locations according to states. For the purpose of this list, institutions of higher education that are authorised to confer their own degrees but do not have the status of universities are included under the sub-classification of university college (including institutions not classified as educational institutions under the ''Education Act 1996''). Other institutions of higher education which do not have the authority to confer their degrees are listed in a separate article. Selangor
Selangor (; ), also known by its Arabic language, Arabic honorific Darul Ehsan, or "Abode of Sincerity", is one of the 13 Malaysian states. Bangi, Malaysia
Bangi ( Jawi: باڠي; ), alternately Bangi Lama, is a small town situated south of Hulu Langat District, Selangor, Malaysia. Geography It is roughly situated between the towns of Kajang () and Nilai, Negeri Sembilan (). The town is surrounded by palm oil estates, most of which were converted to townships over the last 20 years. The town is surrounded by small Malay villages, within , namely, Kampung Bangi, Kampung Bahagia, Kampung Batu Lima, Kampung Rinching. Bangi is not to be confused with Bandar Baru Bangi, a larger township opened more recently. Bandar Baru Bangi is situated about 7 kilometers north of Bangi proper and is nearer to Kajang town. Kubang Kerian
Kubang Kerian is the royal town of Kelantan and also a parliamentary constituency in Kota Bharu District, Kelantan, Malaysia. The Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Health Campus is located here. This campus is also referred to as USM Health Campus. The campus houses 3 schools - the School of Medical Sciences, the School of Dentistry and the School of Health Sciences. A 760-bed teaching hospital is located on campus. This is the Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia (HUSM).
