Sheffield is a city status in the United Kingdom, city in South Yorkshire, England, whose name derives from the River Sheaf which runs through it. It is partnered with Longley Park Sixth Form, HBH Academy Trust, Beck Primary School, Hucklow Primary School and others. History The school began as Firth Park Secondary School in 1920, becoming Firth Park Grammar School in 1937. This became the comprehensive Firth Park School in 1969. Meadowhead School
Meadowhead School is a mixed secondary school and Language College with academy status in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. There are currently around 1,841 students on roll, about 120 teaching staff and approximately 50 non-teaching staff. The school is also a language college. History Meadowhead School was created when the two schools of Jordanthorpe Comprehensive School and Rowlinson School merged in 1987. King Edward VII School is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form located in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. History King Edward VII School, named after the reigning monarch, was formed in 1905 when Wesley College was merged with Sheffield Royal Grammar School on the site of the former on Glossop Road. The former buildings of Wesley College, now King Edward VII Upper School, designed and built by the Sheffield architect, William Flockton in 1838, were Grade II* listed in 1973. The school's history is far older than its regal name suggests. It can be traced directly to a Royal Charter granted in 1604 for the "Free School of King James", the result of a legacy of Thomas Smith who had died the previous year. King Ecgbert School
King Ecgbert School is a co-educational secondary school with academy status (age range 11–18) in the village of Dore in the south-west of Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. The headteacher (from January 2017) is Paul Haigh. The school is named in honour of King Egbert of Wessex, who became recognised as overlord of England at Dore in 829. Originally opened in 1957 on Furniss Avenue as a girls-only secondary technical school, King Ecgbert eventually became comprehensive in 1969 when it amalgamated with Abbeydale Secondary School and Greystones Secondary when they were closed down.
