Smithfield is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Smithfield is located west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government areas of the City of Fairfield and Cumberland Council. Boyer is a rural locality in the local government areas (LGA) of Brighton and Derwent Valley in the Hobart and South-east LGA regions of Tasmania. The locality is about south-west of the town of Brighton. The 2016 census recorded a population of 40 for the state suburb of Boyer.
